Hello Everyone!!!
Almost a year ago a friend of mine passed away and his wife gave me his 22mag Sheriff. I Pastor a church here in East Tennessee and have fell in love with carrying this little charm in my inside suit jacket pocket. My question is what would be another good NAA to purchase as a pocket pistol? I have fell in love with these guns and have put my S&W 38 snubby in the closet.

I have an original 1 5/8", a Sidewinder and a Pug. The Pug travels with me a lot as it is easy to carry and shoots well on short distances as designed.

I am a big fan of the fixed sight Black Widow Model.  I do not like the oversized rubber-baby-buggy-bumper grips that they come with, but they are easily replaced with NAA laminate grips.  There are even a couple of makers of stag grips for the minis that I really like.  You can't go wrong with any of the NAA models.  They are all first rate.  You just have to prioritize which one you want next...and next...and next.

Welcome to the forum.

Best Regards,

First, WELCOME to the forum. I carry in my right front pocket. I can't tell the difference in carrying a 1 1/8 LR or a 1 5/8 magnum. I now carry a Wasp w/ 1 5/8 barrel, as I feel it gives a little more power than a LR. I carry the Wasp because I like having things that are not in the mainstream.

Welcome,
I carry a Pug and a Sidewinder as my minis.
Both with Cvang grips for best control....

I carry a 1 5\8 lr with the folding grip.  Usually it is clipped into my pants pocket but in a sweatshirt pocket is fine.  It is always there when I need it.

I carry a 1 5\8 mag with the folding grip but I really want a Pug.
Oh well, someday!!!!

If you are trying to decide which barrel length, this might help. I made a spreadsheet of barrel length vs. muzzle velocity using NAA's ballistics charts.

Using the 1 1/8 in. barrel as the baseline, if you increase barrel length 1/2 in. to 1 5/8, you only increase MV by 6 percent. But if you add another 3/8 in. (to 2 in.) the increase is 22 percent compared to 1 1/8. The 4-in. barrel gives a 27 percent increase. I didn't plot the sheriff's barrel length but you can interpolate it. (Or is it extrapolate? Never can remember.) Note that the ammo plotted does not include the modern short-barrel types.
