Will Early Bird have two cylinders

To me one of the cool things about thensidewinder is the LR conversion.   If the early bird does not offer this could be a delimma as adding it later would add further expense to a already expensive conversion.

Hey, I agree.

Give them an e-mail and ask.

Otherwise, like you said, lots of extra money later.

   AND hassle.

The only UPS shipping place within 25 miles of me is run by two old people that don't know the law and don't want to learn.

They didn't even want to ship black powder revolvers for me. I took them to the post office.

I suspect it will be a matter of what can production accomplish in the time frame Sandy wants to get the guns to the market.

For me, it is not an issue, as I mostly carry mine. Some just sit in the safe to keep the others company. While I look forward to getting a new gun, it is not a huge problem for me to remove the cylinder. I would like the BT to make a comeback, as I thought it was "neat".

I hate to say that it would take me out of an early bird but I would probably limit myself to one.   No doubt in my mind that NAA will take this to production and a aftermarket conversion just makes no sense to me if I can avoid it.   I am buying this one to shoot LR cause may Ranger is stuck in Mag mode.

Even if NAA would have to hold off production for a short time to get the conversion going I could wait.  It would be worth a short wait.

Or maybe even a little longer short wait.

CavScout

I'm there too...

I am willing to prepay for a 22LR version and "make do" with my 22Mag version while waiting for production to catch up. ;o)

True, buy early bird and have them hold till LR is done.

after the ranger, i think most people will just order the magnum and worry about getting a lr cylinder later. i dont think too many people are going to put their eggs in the i can always wait on ordering for the conversion to be available basket.

I too wouldn't mind waiting a little longer to get the Sidewinder WITH the conversion cylinder.  I definitely want the LR cyl .... but probably won't let it be a deal breaker on an early bird order.

I'd prolly never send it back to have the extra cylinder fitted.  What a pain that seems to be.

I'll also prolly not be able to get the personalized ser # that I'd like to have ... on the early bird ... but Oh well.

I'm almost afraid not to early order one .. after the Ranger that I'll never get to own.

   ( I hope I'm allowed to post my thoughts here ! )

Tuff one for me I am really buying this gun for the LR.    There is little doubt to me that this gun will get to production: there won't be two Rangers.   Thus it may be logical to wait till its available if early bird doesn't have it.    Hope I don't have to face that one

Glenn agreed with me. Mark this date and time.

Hmm .. yup ... I pretty much did Joe.

   Nothing wrong with that.

I really want the gun I want ... so I'm up in the air about what to do.

   1-1/8"

   BOTH Cylinders

   Personalised Ser #

   If I earlybird .. I get 1-5/8"

   Random Ser #

   Better price ??

   Sure to get it.

Not sure on the better price .. but I think I read that somewhere.

If I wait for production ... then will my LGS be able to get me one ... or not.

From the sounds of backorders ... & already a waiting list on the standard line of NAA's  ... would I ever get a Sidewinder ???

I think earlybird pre-order of the gun I WANT is the best idea ... if that's gonna be possible ???

It will surely depend on whether NAA will accept Early Bird pre-order on 22LR, for later shipping... assuming they will be delayed.

Waiting for production units to fill up the distributor pipe, and eventually to you LGS will surely take longer than Early Birds.

i would get the early bird, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush kind of thing, then when they come out with the convertible model and its available to you, you can sell the early bird if you want to.

Joe has a very good point. Can sell if you are able to land what you want. Of course the way things go with me I would end up just throwing the lesser in the safe and carrying the greater. Rarely if ever sell a gun. I think I have traded only two in my entire life and I wish I had not done so with one of them.
