What a neat little rascal!
Stout , easy on the eyes while still considerate of a golden mean proportion.
More mass than anticipated through the grips. A good thing ,  as I was fearing a slippery eel type fumble just trying to hold it for some odd reason.
Nothing to complain about , cept it's kinda homesick and would like some littermates or other young uns near. L.o.l.
I like my wheelguns but this one will let me tote all day with out having an anchor feelin after a while or feel like trying to hide a frypan .

Lurked here before buying a mini and appreciate the sharing of info..A big factor in going ahead with a longstanding idea when suspicious of reviews outside of owners , finding out from them that's doin.
Thanks for making that possible.

The ease of carry was what drew me to the Mini. It fits so nice in the bottom of my pants pocket; it's with me all the time.
I use the folding holster grip, it just works for me, but there are a lot of other ways to carry also.  It will be fun on your part to see what works for you.

Welcome to the forum.

NAAMIN

Thank you kindly for the welcome.
Currently the mini is riding in a pocket in an IWB holster.
Tried IWB and watch pocket too.
Eventually it will come to a consistent roost.

Welcome to a great forum!

RKBA makes a great pocket holster that holds 5 extra rounds. Shrouds hammer too, which I like.

Been thinking of trying the holster grip mentioned by To Old To Run. Just haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. :)

MY original lr mini I bought some 30 odd  years ago---I  don't think I have ever fired it without dropping it!!!!  My other NAA pistols have larger grips,  the best  way I found to shoot theLR mini is,I hold the grip with my left hand pinched between forefinger and thumb and use right hand trigger finger----works great for me!!!!!

NAAMIN

Thanks for the welcome.

RKBA's do cover the hammer well from the looks of the pictures on their sight.

Fun options abound. Fine craftsmanship in leatherwork seems to compliments NAA's guns the best to my eyes so far ,  but  kydex would tolerate a good soaking better...

Welcome.  Like you I have a number of wheel guns.  I always get a kick about people calling the mini their "back up."  I'm sure that's great for those who normally carry as a part of their job.  I keep a 9 in my car, but I find it is the mini in my pocket that is there when I need it.  That makes it my primary pistol.  The stuff at home or in the car are the "back ups."  I find painting the front sight with orange model paint improves my shooting as does the folding holster grip.  Please keep us in the loop for the things you discover.  Makes us all better shots.

Thanks for the welcome zburkett!

Ya, my larger revolvers are not always at hand.....

One thing I might go farther with ,though many pocket holsters have provision for spare ammo , is vinyl tubing to hold a few rounds.
Though if five shots don't do it I'm just gettin in deeper.
I have one piece that holds a single round I carry worn around my neck when running with the single shot rifle.
On a cord attached to a small S hook a piece of 1/2 tubing cut 2 1/4 inches long ,one at a time the ends were heated and crimped/pressed shut the width of my pliers.
One end drilled for the S hook and the other left as is. Just squeeze the lower end open like an old coin purse and the round drops out.
I've a couple aluminum arrows that could be cut but seems they might rattle and not flex if squished.

I'm with you.  If I can't get it done in five I probably can't get it done.  For a few years I carried a .32 Derringer.  Prefer the round but no inexpensive double barrel prints  at the same place with both barrels and with a Derringer you don't know which barrel will go off.  Snakes are my usual target when I'm shooting for real so I need to be able to hit a snake head at ten feet.  When your wife finds a copperhead in her garden there isn't time to run into the house for a better choice of gun.  So, I practice shooting at bottle caps or spent shells at five to ten feet and paper plates at ten yards.  My three inch Earl is easier than my Mini but I can get it done with either when I do my part.  The NAAs tend to work well no matter how much abuse you give them so I take a single action .22 over either a .32 acp simiauto or Derringer.  I do fit into the group that wishes NAA would make a single action .32 even if they drop it to four rounds.  Unfortunately that is not likely to happen.

Same here!  Some of my Pistols and Rifles, have Black-On-Black Front/Rear Sights, making it hard to hit a Dark Paper Target at 10-yds or more.  Our local Indoor Range gives us our First Target Free, a Paper Black Silhouette Target, with a Red Center Bullseye.  Hard to figure out where the Sights are, when I'm trying to line up the Target.  I use the Orange Fluorescent Model Paint for the Front Sight, and Green Fluorescent Model Paint for the Rear Sight.  Gives me a quick Sight Picture!  My aging eyes need all of the help they can get.

Cheers!

What would old eyes do without model paint.  I never thought of painting the rear sight green.  I'll try it as soon as I get to an open store.

NAAMIN

Put two dots of white enamel touch up paint on a rear rifle sight and the blade has one at it's top.
Tired eyes do like red on the couple revolvers with it on.
I'll have to peek at the girlfriends nail polish supply for quick options... when she ain't looking.

I carry my NAA 22LR Mini  on my belt in this little flip phone case as a backup to the Ruger LCP .380 in my front pocket holster.

I have a .32 Davis derringer that may be an oddball. It not only prints close to point of aim but both barrels print close together. There are two problems with it. It is nearly impossible to cock with one hand & a bit slow even with two. The other problem is extraction of fired cases. The extractor will override the fired cases so you need somethin to push them out. Still it is a handy small package for TWO shots.

I saw a guy on youtube that used an unusual grip for his minimag with the original grips. He gripped it with his right hand, and wrapped his left hand below his right, but he put his left thumb up behind the  back of the grip. I tried it and felt more in control immediately. Worth a shot . . .

i just like tiny weapons myself. been with naa since day one. all my buddys look for my concealed mini on me as a joke but they never spot the smith m60 revolver. kinda cool huh.

I carry every day a Black Window and find the standard grips very easy to use. It rides in right pocket in pocket holster. I also almost always carry something else but always the BW.

I carry my BW every day also, and while the standard grips were OK, I made wood ones. I am on the second set and like these Walnut ones a lot.

Looks real good Al . :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

NAAMIN, congrats on your purchase. You won't regret it. Like the others have said, the best feature is that it's the ALWAWS gun you can always carry. Shortly before buying my 22LR I bought a Kahr cw9 for concealed carry but since I got my mini I haven't carried it once yet, since the mini is so convenient. Though I'm sure there will be times and places where I'll Cary the larger caliber. I use the holster grip and like it - especially for shooting it. I wouldn't mind a little pouch holster to protect the barrel and cylinder chambers from pocket dust.
If you're not swimming against the current you're being carried along with it.
