Metal replacement clip for holster grip?

The plastic clip broke off my mini .22LR's holster grip.  No big deal, just settle it further down into my pocket...

But I got new cargo pants.  Bigger pockets.  Now the little revolver shifts around too much while walking.  I'd ask NAA about sending me a new clip to attach, but considering how fast the last one broke (and how bulky and funny looking it was) I'm thinking it might be better to use a piece of metal.  Just like my EDC pocket knife.  But is there one available ready-made that doesn't need drilling or any other mods?  A drop-in metal replacement for the original plastic clip.

I know there was a thread here a few years ago.  Has anyone done something like this more recently?  What did you use, where did you find it, and how's it working out?

Here's what I'm trying first...  A while back I bought Walmart's legendary "$1 pocket knife", though these days due to inflation it's actually $2.  They cut every corner and spared every expense but it's still pretty nifty for the price.  So cheap they didn't even bother to lock it up with the other knives, but instead put it by the fire starters and canteens.  Doesn't appear to be available anymore but here's Walmart's web page for it:

The knife has a metal pocket clip that looks almost compatible with the holster grip.  Almost.  So I removed the clip and held it up to the grip's bolt hole: pretty darn close.  It'll curve funny for left handed pocket carry, but should still be usable.  Only problem is, the clip has two little wings sticking out 90 degrees that get in the way.  Too stout to bend with pliers and screwdriver.  Might have to get out the dremel and file them down.  Sorry, no time for pics at the moment.

Any better ideas before I get out the power tools?

I bought these grips off ebay a while back, some guy had made them. I really like them and figure it would be easy to make another set on my own if I wanted by just adding the clip to some standard grip panels. These are black linen micarta, ground flat. The clip lays against the cylinder but not so hard as to impede the rotation at all. It lets me clip it into a pocket or IWB very easily.
