This afternoon I accidently put five rounds of Colibri ammo thu the heavy duty wash cycle. I just found them in the bottom of the washer so I went outside and discovered that all five round fired without issue. I'm kinda surprised.

I often wondered just how much water it would take a 22 ,to maybe cause a miss fire (interesting) and like you
kind of surprised also, going through the wash to say.

.22 is a lot more durable than we think. Back when the shortage was at its worst I was shooting what would be called trash ammo.
I had a can of stuff I had collected over the years. Found it in junk boxes, open tuna cans stored in leaky garages and buried in the dirt under the bench at the range. lots of rain snow mud. It was green covered in oil total crap. I spread it out sprayed it with WD40 and wiped it down. It all fired. Not so with the new Bulk Winchester I found at the same time.

All the Aquila ammo I have used has been very good.

I did have a bottle of Gun-Werkz cleaner in the range box. Due to altitude change it leaked into a plastic box of good ammo. It melted the box and the ammo would not fire. %75 FTF. I tossed it all. That hurt.  Keep bottles up right!

Found a new brand. Like Aquila it is out of Mexico. "CI" at Turners. No feed back on it. $80 for 500. Did not get any. The ammo gods smiled on me a wile back.

Just don't shoot anything that has any deeper corroison on the casing , surface discoloring o.k. but look them over well .  ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

OLD and GRUMPY

Crap ammo in a old gun not the good ones.

Got an old Jeep PU that I have been using to go out shooting in for several years that has fired brass and loaded 22s under the seats and every where else in it. I have picked up some of the loaded stuff. there is a plastic bag full, and a plastic shell box full, that all need to be cleaned and shot. There is probably a few hundred more floating around down there. I know four more went there today.  I dropped the cylinder pin from a Bearcat Ruger doen there a few month ago, and had to fish it out with a magnet. I lost a gold chain bracelet a few years ago, and I hope its down there somewhere. Life is good.....
