Looking at the picture with Sandy's June post I think the 1" is the perfect length for this gun with its profile. Reminds you of the  old stub nose detective revolvers. Don't have a short barrel so that is cool.  It will be interesting to see the longer barrels and how they look.

45flint-

You have confused me. You wrote:

...I think the 1" is the perfect length for this gun...

   and then,

Don't have a short barrel so that is cool. (emphasis is mine)

I agree, it will be interesting to see the longer barrels. I wonder, after 24 months in produiction, what will be the most popular barrel length?

I believe Sandy said a while ago that the Pug is by far the best seller.....

Me?

   My wish?

That early bird would have a 2" barrel.

Oh well, take what I can get.

   THEN

When the longer barrel models come out, get a pair of each of those.........

And the six-inch Sidewinder Hogleg will be... when?

Can you make us some pretend lengths?

   Please?

I am telling you the 1" looks best. Compare the two. Part of it is the squareness of the frame, is less of issue with small barrel.  Just works for me

Can see why they are producing first.

Yup, I'll do some Photoshop magic for ya! It worked pretty well on the standard six-inch Hogleg, eh? I still tell myself I had something to do with that model coming out.

Uncle_Lee

I would like to see a barrel length long enough to have the extractor take the cases all the way out of the cylinder.

Picking them out is so slooooow compaired to turning it upside down and pushing the extractor and letting them fall to the ground.

If they come out with a "Hogleg" version, I am in for sure on another pair.

   I love the Hogleg.

I am with 45 here; I much prefer the look of the 1" barrel.

Being in the People's Demokratik Republik of Kalifornia I would have hoped at least some of the first ones had the four inch barrel.

45flint

I prefer the look of the 1" so much that I am not sure I will order a longer barrel in this  model.  I actually think the 4 inch will look odd.  Photo shop!!!!!   Happy to be wrong

The longer barrels will look good wearing boot grips, IMO.

Uncle_Lee

I would love to put a set of Chong's grips on a pair of Sidewinder Hoglegs.

And I will if they make them.

I think you could Dremel Chongs to fit?  Might look very cool.

Uncle_Lee

Ya, I think you could cut the top, tip off and it will fit just fine.
