Any reason to visit NAA?  I assume they don't do regular tours?  Special deals?   Steve

Not aware of an tours or deals, but you never know. Check with Naa collector. He lives near there and can likely help you out.

I think you may be able to get a tour if you make an appointment, and they may ask you to sign some documents (most manufacturers I have worked for are touchy about what actually goes on in the production areas and typically will give guided tours but with conditions)

Based on this video I would say call and ask, but be prepared for no as a reply.

If you are looking for accessories, they do give a discount for walk-in purchases.  Don't recall what the percentage was but I recall it was significant.  Note that they close early on Fridays.

While you are there, pick me up a 32 acp mini.

This same question came up a couple of years ago.  My best guess back then, which was not contradicted by admin, was that most small manufacturers are very willing to grant plant tours as long as they do not disrupt some critical activity.

The best way to insure that you are welcomed, and not disappointed, is to call ahead, give them a range of times that you will be in their area, and let them pick the time that is most convenient for them.

Also, do not be offended if certain areas are off limits.  There are a multitude of safety and/or propriatory reasons for that.

Looks like I have time to save up for them.  They do seem like a good idea; 32 acp mini sidewinder....

Uncle_Lee

I wonder when they are going to start shipping the Sidewinders?

I wonder if they are going to ship 50 a day or if they are going to have a Post Office truck come and pick all 267 Early Birds up at the same time?

@ Keith44

when we visited and filmed that factory tour video you linked to, we had planned the visit for some time. And we were invited to come in when the factory was shut down (day off)

I doubt they would want (or for insurance reasons, be allowed) to give a tour while work was going on

So it would depend if someone who could let you in and show you around, was busy on their day off I suspect

I can tell you everyone we met at NAA were VERY nice and friendly

As for visiting.. if you are in the area I would say why not? even if you can't schedule a tour, seeing the birthplace of our favorite guns is a treat

Give yourself a few hours, the factory is quite a bit south from downtown SLC, and it is NOT very easy to find, trust me on that, the roads are twisty and named weird.

But once you see that familiar logo on the door it's worth the trip IMO

Thanks for the reply  bubba.  I have heard that the people there are some of the friendliest in the business.  Just one more reason to buy their products
