Has anyone used the Quiet 22s in a mini NAA revolver? If so, what are your experiences? The EB SW will be my first .22magnum with a .22lr conversion cylinder. If the Quiet 22s work with minis, I think they would make great backyard plinking ammo. I've seen videos of them in .22lr rifles and they really are much, much quieter than standard .22lr. I just haven't found any vids yet out of them being fired from a mini.

Harkamsu - I have not tried the Quiet-22 LR. I note that the advertised velocity is

710 FPS, the same as the CB Short which I shoot pretty often. The CB Shorts are

quieter than regular shorts out of my Minis, guess I will give the Quiet-22 a

try when I see it in a store.

I've used them in a rifle,,,,,,,you're right Hark---they are quiet, as quiet as a bb gun imo; no ear protection needed and just a small 'snap'.

Would work for pests, but not good for SD.

As for how much louder they will be out of a revolver.....I suspect a noticeable amount but hope not too much.

I'll try them in a naa (maybe today) and report back...

Please, do try them out on your NAA mini. I would appreciate it greatly.

If this works out, it's something that I can use to ease my sheeple brother into shooting.

I have not tried any CCI Quiet rounds but have fired Aquila Colibri's in both the mini .22 lr and BW conversion .22 lr. The Colibri has no powder, only the primer to drive the bullet. May not be a great idea to shoot in a rifle as the bullet may lodge in the barrel. Also will not operate an auto loader. They are so quiet you can shoot them without hearing protection. $3.75 per box of 50. I will be looking for the CCI's. Maybe similar.

Mills, the cci quiets work fine in a bolt, lever, or break action rifle---no risk imo.

Gunblast shot some in a new Savage model 42 combo gun; 40gr, 690fps:

I have fired the aquila many times in my Marlin rifle. Never had a problem.

I have used them for chipmunks, but lately have been using snake shot.

Thanks for the advice. I have a lever action Henry Golden Boy that I will try them in. Might be a good way to introduce my grandson's to shooting without a lot of noise.

FYI, here is a video where we shot some quiet (no-gunpowder) .22lr ammo from a .22lr NAA

We shot a bunch of ammo from the NAAs that day, and it all worked fine

That video does allow you to hear the difference well enough. One Distinction though, the cci quiet -22 ammo Hark asked about DOES have powder in it,,,,,the one I checked had 0.6 grains.

This is not meant as a criticism, just my observation and opinion----I cringed slightly as the gun handler in the video flipped the little naa around in various ways while the hammer was COCKED. Seemed reckless imo.

Hitting a 3 inch piece of steel at 500 yards?

I thought only MDE could do that.

There are two kinds of those Aguila no-powder bullets now. The calibri (375 fps) and the super calibri (500 fps).  Which is the most quiet??  Must be the 375.
