Pug Grip on Classic NAA

I have a classic NAA .22 LR with 1 and 1/8" barrel and was wondering if I removed the side panels would the default NAA pug grip fit on there?

   

   I can't get a proper grip with the default side panels, but I can get a real 1 finger grip on my pug and the difference is like night and day.

Sorry, but, no it will not. The PUG is a mag frame, which is larger than the LR frame. If you really want to carry the LR frame, but also want a better grip, many on here have switched to the boot grips.

   

   I have a LR I have carried since 1977. About 8 or 9 years ago, I had it engraved. I since discovered (for me) the mag frame carries just as easily as the LR frame, and has more power. I have all but quit carrying my really nice LR. I feel sorta like a traitor....
