Uncle_harley,

Do you mind posting pics of what you had to do? I was wondering how the ejecting thing was going to go.....

uncle_harley

yeah give me a day or two.  It's pretty simple  just snapped off the recoil shield and rounded it out with a sanding wheel on the dremel. At that point it's not much different that a standard boot grip, but the chong's were the only extra grips I had.

CavScout

EB014 Combo is safely home here in Oregon.

Pictures dried up.  Anyone get one with grips that fit?  At  this point I am hoping to be at the tail end of the EB run.  I know I am a trouble maker.

My grips were askew such that the left grip jutted forward of the grip frame with a sharp edge. I loosened the grip screw and aligned the grips, re-tightened the screw and all looks good. Don't know if there will be rotation issues under recoil yet.

Uncle lee - congrats! I figured all of the first bunch were out there.

By the way, if you cannot fit them into your shoe boxes, I have some extra

space under my bed where I could store them for you ... I can just shove the

   cat over a little!

bleak_window

The real question is, who'll be the first to do the Hollywood "flip"?

Or doesn't it work that way?  I admit I haven;t studied the reloading routine.

wild bill

The Hollywood flip...ah yes. Favorite move of all the tv cops and they're experts, right?  Ouch.

Uncle_Lee

I still have room enough in the shoeboxes for about 4 more minis.

2 Sheriffs and they should be coming.

2 Sidewinders with 4" barrels, just as soon as they start making them.

Then that will be about all until Sandy comes up with a new model like a 32 acp mini.

   LIKE A 32 ACP MINI..........

If you find you need more shoe box room, let me know & I'll send you one. I wear size 13.

heyjoe

so none of you 1 to 20 ers has tried putting the sidewinder in a holster yet?
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

45flint

I think they are all in safes,  no need for a holster.  When I get mine you will have a range report!!

heyjoe

hold on there now Mr. Flint I may get mine before you.

45flint

That's fine I'm going for the last EB serial number now!

Randy

I have one pic in a holster. They will fit in a 'western' style holster. It will fit snugly in my Patriotjoe PUG holster but the strap won't snap. Strap needs to be a little longer to snap.

This is a pic in a MadHat (actually Ms. MadHat) holster.

45flint

Randy pull that SW out of the holster like to see it in a boot grip?

Randy

Top left boot grip, top right standard grip. Only pic I have for now. I need to get a better close up.

There ya go, that's the way to do it!. Congrats UL on the new addition.

45flint

Gun looks very nice!  Have to ask uncle lee how was the fit of the new birds heads?   Not sure I like the boots on this gun?

Uncle_Lee

I really didn't check out the fit of the bird's head grips.

I just took it out of the case and changed grips.

   I don't like bird's head grips.

Dinadan

Thanks for the photos, Uncle lee. I agree with 45flint that the boot grips do

not look just right at first glance.

22man

I like naa boot grips in general,,,,,however I agree that on the sidewinder it seems a little boxy to my eyes,,,,,maybe something to do with the larger square section at the front of the frame? I'll have to see what a longer barreled SW looks like with the rubber grips to decide if I'll get one.....

22man

other than the horrible photoshop job i did, I like the look of the larger rubber grips on the sidewinder:::::
