Can distributor request a serial number?

Not sure .i want to so this but my unfired Ranger is serial number 501.  Can I request from a distributor that they try to get that serial number when normal production starts?

I think a dealer can talk serial numbers with a distributor, but I'm not sure about the distributor asking that from the factory.

I bet you can ask NAA yourself.. they offer custom serial numbers already direct to customers
