For insurance purposes, I am trying to find the current value of an unfired example of the original "tool room" Break Top. Found none on GB. Most searches bring up Rangers. Thanks for any help.

NAA Products / Original BreakTop Value?
October-20-24 16:10
For insurance purposes, I am seeking appropriate valuation for an unshot, original BreakTop.
Thanks.

The Boberg required 500 rounds to break in. Bond re engineered the gun using different material. According to Mr. Bond in a video posted from the SHOT show, it now takes less than 50 rounds to break in. It really appears to be a complete redesign that has resulted in greater reliability and easier service.

I'm thinking about buying one of these. I like the concept, it's a 9mm the size of a .380 with a full length barrel and apparently manageable recoil. Looking for some one who has bought/shot one who can provide real world experience. Thanks.

Thanks. I went to the web site but they don't list a glove grip for the NAA.

NAA Products / Guarian 32 Grips
September-18-16 20:09
I've got a Guardian in 32ACP. I have the standard grips and a nice pair of wood (cocobolo?) grips. The standard grips are excellent for carry, but hard to hold. The wood grips are nicer to hold but their thickness makes them bulky to carry. I've been looking for a better solution, something in between. I see that NAA lists the Hogue simulated pearl grips, does anyone know if these might be a good compromise, or are they as thick as the wood ones?

I'd like to hear if anyone here has a better solution.

Thanks.

I wrote Customer Service a out a week avo about returning my Guardian for FTE and FTF issues. I asked a out returning it for service but received no response. Should I just go ahead and ship it out to UtH?

Thanks.

I "melted" my Guardian .32.

After "melting" and polishing my Guardian 32, I set about looking for a pair of thin, smooth grips to complete the project to make it sleek and slippery. I found a pair of resin grips on Gunbroker (seller: tillandergungrips). They were stippled but he assured me they could be sanded and polished. And they were, in about 45 minutes I had them looking reasonably good, enough so to declare the project complete. Now on to the holster. Currently, I have a Nemesis with the muzzle end blocked off to prevent lint accumulation in the works. But the search goes on for something as yet undefined, but "better".

NAA Products / Polished Guardian
October-16-14 20:10
This is my first attempt at something like this. I felt the sights were pretty useless so I removed them and the ridge that runs across the top. I also rounded off the barrel top, slide front and back, and gently smoothed the square edges of the barrel and the tops of the slide serrations. Now it really slips out of the Nemesis holster easily.

I'd like to find a set of smooth grips for it, something economical, not some exotic material.

Well I've gone and bought my fourth NAA Mini, adding a Guardian 32 to the Pug, Earl and Break Top.

I like to carry my minis in a belt pouch. The Pug has resided for years in a small camera carrier I bought for peanuts. The Guardian will "almost" fit, so I need a something new. I read about the Blackhawk Under the Radar Cell Phone Holster. It's 5x4 inches which seems fine but there is no mention of depth and the Guardian is an inch thick. Has anyone on the list experience with the unit?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks.

NAA Products / Re: NAA .32 vs Seecamp
September-28-13 10:09
Thanks for the replies and the good info. I have handled the Guardian but not the Seecamp. They are not generally seen at dealers around here (Jax, FL), I'll need to search one out at a gun show.  I currently carry a magnum Pug which replaced a Ruger LCP that I positively hated. Since I now have three NAA guns, I'm leaning towards the Guardian, it's just the shiny, pretty of the Seecamp brings out my inner Magpie.

NAA Products / NAA .32 vs Seecamp
September-27-13 15:09
I'm thinking of adding a .32 auto to the arsenal. I've got three NAA revolvers, but no experience with the Guardian line. I am trying to decide between the Guardian and the Seecamp. I'm hoping someone here has owned/used both or can point me to a comparison or has a strong opinion one way or the other.

Thanks.

NAA Products / Re: Skorpion
March-28-13 09:03
That's a CZ Skorpion.Uses the 7.65 Kurtz round (sounds better that .32 ACP, doesn't it). Ours loves cheap Serbian ammunition. Supposedly the auto version of this gun was a favorite of the East German Secret Police. I believe it also appeared in the Matrix movies. We got ours through CDNN, I think. They were closing them out for $289. Came with multiple mags, holster, mag holders, etc., all cosmolined. I believe they have a similar version of the same gun now for about $600, thanks to Ms. Feinstein. It's a fun gun, shoots surprisingly well and draws a crowd at the range. Seem very reliable and field strips without tools for cleaning.

Cool. A Skorpion. My 4'11" 95 lb. wife calls it her Zombie gun. It's a gas to shoot and apparently an investment as the price has doubled since Feinstein got her skirts in a wad.

I can also vouch for the Rossi and the use of 45 shotshells. I have pistol version. It is surprisingly accurate with the 22 barrel. I've shot the 45 Long Colt lead rounds and shotshells in it. They make a nice spread but I must say I prefer the .410 for shotgun effect. Terri has her Zombie gun, this is my rabid raccoon piece. I bought after a friend dispatched one in front of the neighbor's house.

Went to the big show at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds this morning. Long lines to enter as expected. Also as expected ammunition prices are out of sight - a brick of standard 22 LR was $75, others were commensurate.

I was kinda sorta looking for a Ruger Single-nine, saw just one for more than I care to pay. Also saw a number of NAA minis, new and used. Way in the back of the hall was a dealer with a NIB 3" Earl marked 22 magnum $279 on the tag. So I asked about a second cylinder and, oh yeah, it's a convertible. FL is a 7% sales tax state, and as a dealer he had to clear me with the state. But he ate the tax and fee (back calculated the price to cover it) and I was out the door at $279.

I think I did pretty well, it's rare to find a new NAA below MSRP at one of these shows, and all in I came out about $75 below that.

Of course, I wasn't really looking for another NAA (now have 3) and still want that Ruger.

Yep. In a little point and shoot velcro'd pouch on my belt. No one has ever asked what's in the pouch.

If I take another gun, I usually still have the Pug somewhere on me. Me the Pug and the motorcycle have been pretty much everywhere in the US. In non-recip states I lock it in a tiny zipper case with a TSA lock, shells out.

Gun show today in St. Augustine, FL. AR-15's, etc. flying off the tables at 50+% more than a couple of months ago. Even NAA's were jacked. One guy had an Earl, nice, used, no box. Wanted $350! I did pick up a sweet Airweight in 22 magnum. A little big for pocket carry though. I've pretty much made 22 mag my go to survival round. Have a Henry lever, Automag, Pug, and now the Smith. I like that 250 round brick is less than a 3" cube and can work in a whole range of guns.

Sorry for the ramble...

I love  Renaissance wax. Got a can a couple of months ago and went through everything in the safe. Use it on the entire gun, wood and all. Put it on my newly purchased Henry. The Henry has excellent blue. It has nice wood but with a dull finish. The  Renaissance wax just picked the whole thing up. When I showed the gun off, all commented on the nice wood and deep blue. I even waxed my old Remington Nylon 77. Shiny plastic.

Other Guns (Non-NAA) / Re: Henry
November-23-12 14:11
I just bought a Henry a couple of days ago. Have been looking for a Ruger 10/22 or 96/22 in magnum for a while. They're out there but pricey. Saw a Henry at my local gun shop but it was a 22LR and they were unable to locate a magnum. With the Sandy related shutdown, Henrys are currently a little hard to find. Looked at Gunbroker and sellers were looking for a couple hundred premium over MSRP! Stopped at Gander Mountain and found they had a single example on display. Got it for a bit less as a result and had them mount a Nikon 2-7 scope. Merry Christmas to me. These are really nicely made guns, deep blue, real walnut, smooth action, quite nice, especially at the price. Can't wait to get out to the range and try it out. And glad to see this American company is able to come back from the storm.

Having this gun, an Automag, and my Pug I'm looking at making 22 magnum my bug out ammunition. I'd like to add a revolver to my magnum arsenal. Was thinking about the Taurus 941 but reading hereabout the quality makes me hesitant. Wanting a DA leaves me with Charter (and I know nothing of them), or the S&W ($$$), or what? Any advise?

Thanks all for the info. I finally found a 6" that I could handle. Balances really nice, the fiber optic sights work well for old eyes.

Interestingly, the NIB at the gun shop had a RH057xx serial number, hence not the latest version.

I'm pretty certain now that I will get one soon, after reading here and handling the black one I'm going for a white rhino.

   Thanks again.

I'm thinking about buying one of these. Originally liked the 5" but the newer 6" with target sights is very appealing to me. They are thin on the ground here and I've only seen the 2" locally so have no idea how the longer models feel, balance, shoot, etc.

Hoping someone here has had some experience to share.

   Thanks.

Looking for one of these .32 H&R chambered revolvers. Prefer 4" barrel nice shooter but interested in any 16-4. Doubt I'll find one here but perhaps an NAA enthusiast might want to thin out the safe.

   Thanks.

Interestingly, BAC points to a deal with Freedom Arma as demonstrating their willingness to deal with firearms companies. However it is not BAC themselves but rather their Merrili Lynch division that did a deal. That deal was nothing like a standard banking relationship. In fact ML had no skin in the deal. They simply acted as sales agents, selling newly created high yield Freedom Arms bonds to their customers and others. For this they earned a commission. Completely different animal from holding a line of credit. This way they make money off the firearms company without having an official "relationship". I guess that suits their masters in DC.

I did buy the Scorpion. It took a couple of days longer to arrive. The folks at CDNN were very nice, tracked it at FedEx. Looks like it will be a lot of fun to shoot. Wideners is selling out Prvi Partizan Ammunition 32 ACP 71 Grain FMJ for $10.50 /50. From what I've read on the CZ forum this is the Scorp's favorite ammo. I just ordered 6 boxes.

Thanks Louie. I had written to them earlier and they have now responded affirmatively.

Turns out my local dealer is on their customer list. I was able to order the gun and pay for it. It's being shipped to my dealer Monday. Very simple and straight forward.

I read the mention of CDNN in another thread. Went to check out the site. As occasionally happens, I found a gun that I'd like to buy: CZ Scorpion 32ACP. Then in looking around I noticed that they will only sell accessories through the web site. It appears they will not ship to an FFL on behalf of a retail customer. Am I correct, is this how it works or is there something I'm missing? Hope someone on the forum has dealt with CDNN and can provide information.

   Thanks.

I've got the two-barrel kit version of the P22. Two shooting buddies also have P22s. They all run fine on CCI Mini Mags but none as accurately as my Ruger Mk. II.

I have one as do two of my shooting buddies. Fun for plinking. All eat CCIs with no issues. The red dot sight is cool to play with. I actually have a cased two barrel set but have used only the short barrel to date. They are OK guns. The wife likes it because it's light and fits her hand. Doesn't hold a candle to the Ruger Mk.II w/5" bull barrel.

From his writing style I'd guess he had a dual major in Ethics and English.

Equally amazing is the fact that four different people bid over $2,000. Means there are at least three other potential buyers at that level.

Also if the high bidder bails out you've got some backup.

   Good sale.

But it would be awesome in stainless to match the gun, eh?

I used WD-40. Just stick the "straw" under the drip and give a quick squirt then gently work the grip twisting and pulling.
