I don't care for the cylinder swinging to the right either.  It makes it the oddball of the fleet, but it functions OK.

I ordered the Sidewinder because of the ability to reload faster, but that hasn't been the case.  It doesn't swing close and latch easily.  I have to jiggle it around and fool around with it before it locks, which is very annoying.  It should just swing closed and latch.  It was sent back for warranty repair and returned to me doing the same thing after I had to press them for warranty service.  Apparently, the gun was new old stock and out of warranty by date of manufacture when I received it. If I knew the Ranger II was coming out right after I purchased the Sidewinder, I would have purchased the Ranger II. That being said, I like the pistol and its ability to be concealed easily.

...or maybe an aluminum framed Guardian.  The only negative I've experienced regarding them being carried is their weight.

Yes, I'll have to take some of the lower resolution as the size of the photos was too big for the site. Also, I have a set of fancy wood grips for it as well. I can send them directly by email if you send your address.

I have both the Guardian 380 with the CT Laser and a Bersa Thunder 380CC. They're both good guns.  If you get a Guardian, you might as well get the 380 instead of the .32.  The Guardian is smaller, the Bersa longer; both are dependable and good with regard to felt recoil.  I like the fact that grips can be changed to customized as desired. Both are heavier than the poly guns.

With regard to the Bersa, yes, it has a thumb safety, but you dont carry with it on.  Instead, you put it on when you remove the gun from the holster, and take it off after the gun is back in the holster.  It prevent accidental discharge when reholstering if you get a shirt in the trigger area unintentionally when reholstering.  The Bersa is a very safe design and a great value for the money. The magazine disconnect allows you to drop the mag and leave the pistol unable to fire if someone is taking it from you in a scuffle.

If you do end up with a .32, use the Lehigh Defense Extreme Cavitator ammo. https://youtu.be/Lf-IF1emoJI

I have my Guardian .380 for sale here in the classifieds if interested.

Buy it, remove the CT grips and resell the pistol.  The original grips are included.
