I would like an NAA short with longer barrel. But, for now....
#2
FYI Top dog--they are .22 blackpowder

A couple of my favorites...

#4
I kinda agree also

Tough call. I am almost 50/50 bolt action vs single shot. I dont own a single shot right now so I went with bolt action. BUT, if we could get NAA to make a single shot, then I would certainly be changing my answer.

The Guardian wasn't in their wheelhouse either...until it was.

I believe that NAA could pull off a small quality single shot rifle.

I believe they could sell quite a few.

The question is, will they?

They could do it, people will want it. What are we waiting for?

As usual, nice work Rick.

I should pick up my hogleg sometime this morning.

Well, I am keeping the "extra" Sheriff and buying the Hogleg. I have two Sheriffs, so I was hoping to turn one paid for Sheriff into a paid for Hogleg. Didnt work out that way...and its no big deal.

Bottom line is we want a rifle! :)

Anyone have an NAA Hogleg? I don't have one, but I feel like I should. I think I need one with the lr cylinder so I can have some backyard fun with some CB's.

Dear NAA

Have you ever considered making a long gun? Something like a Little Badger or a Crickett or a Chipmunk etc? Small, single shot, but with a hammer rather than a plunger. You are good at small guns. You are good at quality guns. You are good at fun yet effective guns. I would prefer 22lr/l/s to start with. I might want one in 22mag also. I bet you could even move some chambered in .32 and .380.

I will be waiting.

Thank you.

Took her out for a little fun...and boy was she fun!!!

No targets to post (just ringin' steel). CCI 29 gr 1080fps and CCI CB 710 fps. Very controllable in the hand.

Had to give the Sheriff (both Sheriffs actually) some love too. My main carry has the mag cylinder and the "drawer" gun has the lr cylinder. Ran everything from CCI maxi mag (in my carry gun) to some fiocchi sub sonic lr to cci shorts to some super colibri in the "drawer" gun. The cb shorts and super colibri are just a hoot in the sheriff!

I got a new Short Saturday. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. But soon. Funny how it makes a Sheriff look big.

I love the Sheriff, in fact I have two. I have had just about every NAA and the Sheriff is the best (for me).
#26
I shoot CB Shorts in my Sheriff all the time. No issues.
#27
I love spur trigger wheel guns! How 'bout you?
#28
Thanks to NAA's favorite Uncle, I now have another Sheriff.
#29
Anyone have any of the originals they might be willing to part with?

Mine is new. Both cylinders.
Just pictures taken of it.
Think about a swap?

I could do a swap.

PM me to work out details if you're interested.
#31
It is new. Only fired 10 rounds through it.
#32
I have a 4 inch Sidewinder Mag only, looking to trade for a Sheriff with both cylinders.

How about a Stevens Tip Up? From the company that invented the 22 long rifle cartridge.

I would take one for sure. Not interested in the longer barrel though. They are very difficult to find in good shape. Plus, hard to tell if they are authentic.

I do like the colt as I mentioned in my original post, but I could get down with any style single shot 22 pistol. I just really need NAA to make one.

For twenty plus years I was an instructor in a small community college i Springfield MO.

Not sure if you're still in the Springfield MO area, but I'm just up the road in Marshfield. If you ever want to get together and talk mini's, just holler. I'm always up for playin' with the mini's.

I have considered wrf. The problem is I bought two new mini's chambered in .22mag. Now NAA is saying dont use varmit rounds, and the listed velocity should be 1860 fps or less. Start to limit the ammo you can run in the 22 mags. Never had any issues in the past.
