Thanks guy's for all the comments. She did not like the way it would roll back in her hand a little when shooting it. So I did mention the Black widow style grips. She did not want them, she likes it small like it is to place in her pocket or purse

My wife has never ever been interested in owning or carrying a firearm. At 55 years old she has arthritis so bad that her hands would not be able to use most firearms. I buy several firearms a year, we (me and my wife) were in my LGS one day recently and I was shopping for something (Henry Lever) she was nosing around just looking. She saw a Derringer in the case and made the statement that she liked that and would not mind having one.

After going home and me remembering that I went back and bought it for her about a week later. At the shop I noticed it was extremely hard to cock and when you pulled the trigger, heck I could barely get the trigger to go. I bought it anyway knowing that she could not use it. But thought that the interest in it would spark her for something else. Told the LGS that I would probably be back. Of coarse when I got it home she loved the feel and looks but no way she could use it. I told her I knew a better gun for her and wanted to show it to her. We loaded up and I took her with me back to the LGS.

Over the years I have had several NAA revolvers (not now but interested again so probably will soon) At the LGS I showed her the NAA revolvers. She questioned if she could even use those. Had the LGS get one out and showed her a 22lr. She loved it. We traded the derringer back in and the 22lr. went home with us. I took her to the range and showed her how to use it.

Just wanted to say thanks to NAA, she Loves that little revolver and with the 22lr. recoil she can manage it.

Just a comment

I agree with the others, give them a call and send it back. You will be a lot happier when you get it back. If you don't send it back you will always be bothered about it and unhappy with the gun. Where you bought it from may exchange it for you also if you ask them about it. You never know.

I use to carry a mini for self defense but after the LC9S came out I only carry that. I like the mini's and have owned several and still own the Mini Master. But prefer a higher caliber to carry.

Very nice set of grips and very nice photo. People really do not believe how small these guns are but that picture tells the story. Very nice thanks for posting.

Absolutely Beautiful. Great looking job and gun. Thanks for posting.

It will be interesting to hear what they find ? My guess would be something machined wrong in the cylinder.

The first Mini Master that I ever purchased I thought a bought getting the adjustable sights but after reading a lot about them, it seems like most people could not get them sight in properly and or just did not work for them. That is the reason I stayed with the combat sights an just filed the front sight down to my point of aim at 15 yards.

I would also think it was the hammer spring. I believe that is the weakest part of the NAA.

Stihl, chainsaw. But I work so much and the Amish sell it cheaply so I don't have to worry about it.

No actually that is this years fire wood. That is all I heat with, I do not even have a furnace hooked up in the last 12 years.
I Love that little gun, I wish that I could have the grips scrimshawed like my Super Blackhawk Hunter. That would make it perfect.

I ended up taking the Mini Master out today, and yes it fired very low on the target at approx. 15 yards. I ended up filing down the front sight almost 1/3 of the way (guessing) now it shoots point of aim. Very happy with it. Forgotten how much I liked the Mini Master and glad I have another one.

Thanks for all the responses guy's, really appreciate it. I will be receiving the gun next week, so we will see how the sighting goes.
I also like the white out line on the adjustable but they are really big. This gun will just be kept in the handgun safe as a varmint getter when needed. Small and quick to handle. May also be a snake getter, nasty and poisons little creatures :)

Xebech,
Thanks for the reply, and you are correct but when you are firing from approximately 15 yards it should not matter that much. I do not have the gun as of yet, I am just recently bought it over the internet and won't receive it until the week of the 15th. I have owned them and this model before so I was just wondering. Even at 15 yards there will be a little drop from subsonic vs. Hypervelocity but not that much.

If I were going to take the sights down that is exactly the way I would do it. File the sight down use cold blue or probably black paint to touch them back up, if I decided to replace them again I am sure that you could order some new ones.

CW,
NAA is the only fixed sight gun that I ever had to do that to. I own several guns and never had to file a sight down. I did own one gun can remember what it was now with my aging mind but it also shot low and called customer service and they sent me a new lower front sight. Just wondered if NAA has changed anything about their sights yet. I also agree that I do not care for the looks higher adjustable sights.
I wish Sandy would have a lower front sight made if you needed one.

I have had several NAA revolvers in the past and one of them was a Mini Master. When I had my Mini Master I bought the one with the fixed sights, it always seemed to shoot low. I ended up having to file the front sight down so that it would fire point of Aim. I have not had a NAA for a long time now and I recently decided that I wanted another Mini Master. I ordered another one off the internet which I will get some time next week. I bought the fixed sight one again and figured that if I could not get it to fire point of ail that I would order the adjustable sights for it.
So my question is have they fixed the sight problems on the Mini Masters as of yet ? I remember that when I had mine it was a known problem with them shooting low.

I have not visited this site for awhile, due to no changes in my NAA guns. But I was in the pawn shop about a week ago and viewed a 8" Dan Wesson 357 that I have always wanted. The only way to purchase it was to sell my NAA 1/8" 22 Mag so I did. So now I have a little bit of money and I just purchased a pug off gunbroker. I probable could of bought mine back at the same price I sold it for but I always wanted a pug anyway, the Dan Wesson just gave me an excuse to buy it. I wish that the new swing out cylinder revolver was out already that is what I would have purchased even over the pug. We'll when those do hit the shelves I will have one.

I agree that you will be able to buy one in approx. 6 months a lot cheaper. I will not use mine for a collection but as soon as they become available I will purchase one. I really like the looks and swing out cylinder.

Welcome to the forum, I used to live in Janesville Wisconsin. Moved approx. 8 years ago. When I lived there got rid of all my guns to to the no carry Laws they had. Me moving there from Indiana where I could carry was hard to take. I am very glad to see they have changed thier Laws. I would shop on GunBroker.com or Buds Gunshop they are both good. I buy a lot off of GunBroker never have had a problem.

   Good Luck.

I believe you are probably right ForrestKing. I do like the fire ring right before the flash and smoke. Just thought it was neat.
