Super nice for sure. The 38 Colt....is that similar to the 38 S&W???

                                    Top Dog

They are different cartridges. .38 S&W is similar, but not interchangeable, with .38 Short Colt.

Thank you Top Dog ................. here is another oldie but goodie: First Generation Colt 1877 Lightning; manufactured in 1893 chambered in .38 Colt.

There's gold and silver in dem der hills ....................  All we have to do is go get it. No diving; no real danger.   ::)

Okay ............ time for the next set. These have been seen before but not in reference to this thread. So here they are ............ The Colt Twins:

Superb shape but S&W said not to fire it ................. to valuable and next to no parts for repairs.  So she sits in the safe. :-[

Quote from: OV-1D on December-13-24 09:12But the dot sights don't match the era of the gun model . All it takes is money to get what you want on your weapons . ;) .

The key word in our post was "offered." They could be offered as an option for those who prefer them.

Anvil, truth be told ............. most reclining levers on a recliner do not look that good when brand new. To us, they just look out of place on a piece of furniture. Paint that thing a matching brown and it could not look any worse than new ............... and maybe even better.

In our opinion, all Minis should be offered with front and rear XS Big Dot sights.  8)

LOL ............... Ha ha ha. That is funny.

Quote from: bill_deshivs on December-10-24 14:12I can make them, but you wouldn't like the price.

Just out of curiosity, we do not own a short, how much? Is it really that expensive?
#20
Another pair ............. this time some S&W .38 specials. The Humpback has had some nicer grips as well as a spring job placed not too long ago.
#21
Quite nice Ozark ................. beautiful, as usual OV.  :)
#22
Another pair for all to gaze upon ......................... Big Bores:
#23
Top Dog, we do not use +P loads in them. We use standard velocity Federal Hydra Shock in them presently. We are working on a Wadcutter load but laziness has kept us from testing to find the best load data before finalizing the design.

Quote from: OV-1D on December-04-24 08:12Very ,very nice Rogue Great photo . Now you need a couple of Huckleberry holster rigs to carry under a nice leather jacket for winter to keep those beauties warm . ;)  ;)

They each have an AIWB kydex holster they get carried in. "Two guns ............. one for each of ya."  ;)

PS: The grips come from a maker on Ebay Top Dog. They fit perfectly, right out of the box. We did take the somewhat pointy ends off the butts though. Merely a cosmetic thing.

Glad you liked them.

Need to liven this place up a bit and give Uncle Lee something to gaze upon with his morning coffee .......... so here is a pair:
#27
Forgot about these shots, promised to be posted. Thought we had done so already ............. So for Heyjoe and Uncle Lee's morning coffee sipping as well as anyone else interested, here are  what we like to call the Twins. Two Colt Detective Specials, both out of New York City; one was a NYPD's backup gun.

PS: Thought for sure we had posted these. If so please excuse the repetition.

And more than likely Anvil, that number will continue to grow.  ::)

Yes OV, but the paperwork to feed them becomes too tedious at times. Get rid of the NFA and they may make a comeback.  8)

There is only so much to say about the Minis and the Guardians. What has kept this Forum alive and jumping in the past has been the back and forth banter which usually had very little to do with the Minis. When the new management of NAA nixed that it put a large dent in the interest and ability for the regulars to chime in on and or discuss.

Heyjoe hit the nail squarely on the head. We check in all the time but do not reply nearly as much as there is not as much happening around here to reply to.

Quote from: Rick_Jorgenson on November-27-24 23:11If you were looking at this one... https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1077468955  It's a semi auto only  :o

Not nearly as fun as the full auto 1919 30-06  :)

That is the only one we found when we did a quick look for it .................. We do not do "Semi Auto" on such things.  8)

Sounds interesting OV .............. May have to take a look.  8)

AHHHHHHH ................. the pain of seeing that yet once again!  :o  It is hideous OV! ............... But then you know that.  ::)
