Quote from: OV-1D on November-02-24 09:11There was a few makers of the four barrel 22 one was Sharps , some others are also recently produced also . Shapes also made a 32 rimfire four barrel along with others . I'll post pictures later . I believe the 22 version only had a !/4 turn , I'd have to look again . :)  :)
My Grandma (her 21st birthday portrait in 1898) was partial to this Sharps 30 caliber 4 barrel.
The lead miners in SE Missouri didn't trifle with her...

Sorry, but i don't get any of those popup pictures.

Put one of the little kits together today. Pretty neat toy that functions like the real thing, even down to the grip safety.

I just bought a couple of these for gifts...
Check out the video.

.30 caliber, I believe.
The action still functions.

This is my mom's mom on her 21st birthday in 1898.
That is her Sharps 4-shooter.

Anyway, the last Red Ryder I bought ($20 on sale) was for my youngest grandson 6 or 7 years ago...

My grandparents kept a large supply of corncobs for that purpose up until the 1950s
Luckily by that time they had added a real indoor bathroom in their old house in a small Missouri town. I never used their outhouse for a #2 job.
But I do have this little oil painting hanging above the toilet in our guest bathroom as a reminder of those days...

So did my mom.
When dad came home from the gun show, she grabbed it and said "That is MY gun". Lol

Love the Win. Model 62.
#12
My dad bought this Colt .22 Short at a gun show for $20 sometime in the 1970s

Win. 9422 XTR

Beautiful guns!

The only stags I have are these that came as extras with this 3rd Generation Colt .357.
They are kinda mismatched, but. My brother said he only paid $25 for them sometime in the early 1980s.

I gifted each of my three grandsons these .22 revolvers.
The oldest grandson passed away two years ago at age 29, so his S&W Model 34 should go to his twin sister's kid (if she decides to have a child)

Quote from: Anvil on June-18-24 20:06Uncle_Lee, you've been around here long enough and trusted to the point that pictures aren't neccessary. We believe you!
Although collecting .25 ACP is kind of a stretch! LOL  :-\

There are several hundred guns of all sorts in my immediate and extended families, but only one has been actually used in a self defense incident.
That was my late MIL's mighty little potmetal Titan .25 she used to scare off a late night intruder attempting to break into her house 40 years ago.
It is a family heirloom keeper just for that reason.
(After said incident, I bought her this nice new S&W Model 36)
My son now owns both guns....

Quote from: top dog on August-02-24 05:08Anvil,
I think it was in the late 50's that Colt offered a matched pair of single shot derringers in 22 short.

From the ads,it looked like they were gold plated.

                                        Top Dog
I have one of those. They were sold singly or in pairs called "The Lord and Lady" derringers.
They were made for Colt by Butler, I think.
My dad bought this one used at a gun show for $20 about 45 years ago.

The first firearm I bought for myself is this Ruger Single Six - bought it new in 1959, and it is still in my safe. After 65 years and untold thousands of rounds, it still locks up tightand shoots better than I do.

Good idea, and good on you for proposing it.
Hope your legislature is not dominated by the woke crowd.

"Guns for grandsons"? Good idea!
Hmmmmmm......maybe I'll start "guns for great-grandsons" with my new grandson-in-law.

Quote from: Armybrat on June-29-24 14:06GrabaGun has the 2.5" Ranger in stock for $485.99 + tax & shipping to your ffl.
I got lucky with mine last month on a one day "flash sale" at Palmetto State Armory - $299.99.
(I put the fancier bootgrips on it that were on my short Ranger)
But am willing to speculate that won't happen again.

First NA Minis I've seen at our local Academy in five years....

Quote from: naaadmin on April-15-24 07:04Like others have said, we don't encounter a lot of stretching issues with our firearms. We get people who talk about their guns being heirlooms they received from family members. If you do encounter any issues, we have a warranty on our guns that covers a lot. We once had someone send in a gun that was lost at the bottom of a lake for a little while. Covered!

My first Mini magnum was made in Spanish Fork. Bought it new back then.
It probably has less than fify rounds through it - all in the first year or two.
The cylinder has some end shake that seems to be excessive, and I was wondering if y'all could fix it?
If so, I'll send it in.

Quote from: Armybrat on May-23-24 17:05Nice little collection!

Actually I'm considering a 5th.  The .22 short just for a novel investement.
I mean how many guns are offered at around $200?  ???

My tongue in cheek comment was about the size of the guns, not the number.
I've bought a total of five NAAs - still have three (traded one off and gifted one)
I'd like to have another .22 lr with the buckle and also a .22 short just for the novelty.
Where is the .22 short listed for $200, if I may ask?

I think I'd rather have the 2.5" model. For the price though, I might have to just get another B/W.
Just keep looking.
That's how I found mine at PSA on a one day sale last month for $299.99.

I received the email at 3:37 CDT but didn not see it until maybe a few minutes later and ordered one.
It looks like my order went through. It says it is processing.
Had an early supper, then it struck me that I should post this thread.
Sorry for being so slow.
