I recently sold my only NAA automatic, an early Guardian .32, and I have some extra magazines left over that I'll list on here for a week or so, see if there is any interest.

Any luck yet?

Not a thing, I think they're off to flea-bay in time to start auction on Sunday evening.

Five, a Pug 22WMR, Top Break II, a Short, a 1&1/8" 22LR and a Bugout WMR. Shoot. I didn't realize I had five, I typed four, listed them and changed it!

Thanks for looking!

Hmm, I don't know why, but I've never torn one of those grips, and at most, I slid a drop of oil down the back side as I held the top of the grip away.  I take it tearing these during removal is pretty common?

I shot my "AA" series Guardian a couple days ago, with Rem ball, Federal HPs and WW Silvertips, all ran okay with each stovepiping on the last round (who cares?). Amazingly accurate if you can at least briefly find the sights, I am going to do a guttersnipe mod if they ever start doing that stuff again.
I also have a mint Tomcat, took it out for one range session, it ran nicely also, and was accurate, but not as accurate as my 21A, my most amazingly accurate pocket pistol. Plus, you want to stay away from certain "hotter" 32 rounds in that Tomcat.
If I found a deal on a KT P32, I'd be in trouble...

No, I've had a few minis, believe me, this Ranger II has a stiff pull, head & shoulders above my other ones even when they were at their "newest and stiffest"!  I do believe also, that wear use will whittle it down some, and smooth it out.
Now, on to my next problem; Mrs. OMC has basically (but totally) commandeered my Tritium Pug AND my Stag gripped Short!  I feel I can allow this to stand, if I force her surrender of her Black Widow w/"Laser" (wish I had the little smiley for that) , complete with LR cylinder and fancy pocket holster by guy from eBay "Abbsoroka Kid" or something like that? If I get that, it's going to be sold/traded for some other shorter and lighter NAA 22WMR Mini. One of the earliest I had was an Ellett Bros Exclusive, a 1&1/8" WMR with a tritium front sight dovetailed into the rib. So light...
Here's another thought: Has anyone successfully shortened a Black Widow down to it's shortest length (with cylinder rod intact and full length) and stuck a sight on it?

Hmm, well, anyway, it's back, test fired: Sat, no failures, checked LR & WMR cylinders, all good. Trigger pull still SUCKS! (Yes, I DID politely suggest that they check that over as well, since they had it on the bench, but no-go I guess...)

Well, it's on it's way back, should get there tomorrow afternoon. They sent me a FedEx label Monday. My other Minis have done fine, never an issue, hopefully this will get fixed right the first time and I can feel confidant in carrying it again. I wonder if the Ranger II is more complicated then a standard Mini and thus more prone to issues?
The Ranger is a neat little gun, but I am carrying my Pug, which I have borrowed back from the wife. I may just pick up another Pug and sell the Ranger. The Pug is just slightly easier to carry (I know, tiny difference, but I can tell)

Went to admin download my Ranger II, w/WMR Cyl full of Speer GDs, and after clearing, cocking the hammer, hammer no cockey-backey!  At least about 90% of the time, the cylinder turns half way then skips, hammer is stiff as heck, hard to thumb back to full cock, "as in" you would not want to continue cocking this so as to preclude further damage to the action! The cylinder does not appear to be off axis, is fully seated and turns freely. (if I were reading this, those are the first questions I would ask, so...)

I'll call tomorrow, see what they say, I'm sure they can square it away in short order.  I remember a mild issue with on eof their first .32 Guardians, they fell all over them selves making it right.

I have several, and the Bond Cowboy .410 is NOT the hardest kicking of the bunch, that honor belongs to my American Derringer M-10 (lightweight frame) .45 acp, now THAT hurts to shoot! The Bond is a pussycat in comparison. I also have an FIE D38 in (duh) .38 Spl, with the chambers reamed to accept CCI Snake Shot loads (it might mean it will also chamber a .357, something I would never try!), and of course, and older High Standard satin nickle D101 in 22 WMR.

Sure think my Ranger II would look pretty snazzy with a pair of stag boot grips, but it doesn't seem like anyone makes any, do you guys know of a supplier of those?  Even ones with a wood filler for the back section would seem to be okay.

I have an older one. Nice gun, had to go back to the factory once, early on, but was (and still is) fine after that. Swapped out the original grips for the Hogue pebble finish ones and it sits in a drawer full of Silvertips.

Well, good on you for bringing her back to life! I generally agree with most on here that say Taurus sux, but I DO have one, a Taurus View .38 "ultra tiny" snubbie, but the last version, with the solid sideplate. It's been a gem so far, and is amazing to carry.
I also have the Beretta version of your PT22, the 21A, and it's never given a problem at all.

Say, general question; Will I ALWAYS have to fill in the letters and math problem at the bottom to post, or is that just while I'm on probation? I'm not gonna lie, the answer may impact my posting on here...

Welcome OMC,
Nice shooting.
Thank you for the pretty pictures.
I love pictures.
Seems I've heard that somewhere, I may just have to post a "family photo"...

Yeah, they ARE a work of art in steel and wood, aren't they? I have wanted one since I was a tyke, looking through "Small Arms of the World" at the library.
Then, in 2016, I bought one, a P210-6, 1974 vintage, with adjustable sights. It had the same safety and an older, heel type mag release, and no beavertail. I have never suffered hammer bite so bad, as from that gun with no beavertail, but I found where Nill Grips made a screw on beavertail which completely cured that. Fantastic workmanship, a Swiss made masterpiece.
I just sold it on Gun Broker, I guess I had "scratched the itch" so to speak...

here's Aguila SV at 25yds

Oh great! <sigh> Yet another 22LR to add to my ever-expanding "want list".
Yeah, I really can't afford to see things like this...

(NICE job of thinking up these nifty configurations too, by the way...)

NAA Products / Re: Ranger 2 still great

I wonder where a fella might pick up a set of those pearl boot grips, although I would REALLY like a boot grip in stag!

Yeah, I was on pins and needles when I was taking it out to shoot for the first time because of the problems I was beginning to hear about with other Ranger II owners. I'm glad it worked out, hope they have these issues under control now.
Only problem is I am now thinking about a Sidewinder! I'll have a nice little (LOL!) collection of NAAs before this bug wears off...

NAA Products / Ranger II, Good So Far...
December-28-18 12:12
Well, I shot my Christmas present Wednesday and again today, and I believe I can start to give feedback on it.
For background, I also own a .22 Short, a Pug, the Mrs's Black Widow and an early .32 Guardian.
So far, good, I shot about 20 rounds mixed of Speer short barrel GDs and Hornady Critical Defense on Wednesday and 15 rounds of CCI solids and Speer GDs today. Not a lot, but it was uneventful. Today, I first put the Cherrywood Rev CV grips on it, and they went right on with no issues. I also received a nice little standard format pocket holster from a gal on eBay named "Toddswendy". At the range today, I actually brought along a target and as you can see, it's viable at 5 yards anyhow. Sight picture was a true center hold (with lots of concentration to get past the trigger!)  The rounds out to the left I would attribute to the gun sitting a little cocked to the left in my hand, and the atrocious trigger pull (it's ridiculous, as is the cocking of the hammer!)
Since the sights are on, I wonder what I can do to brighten the front sight? Anyone try sight paint on that little pimple of a front sight?
