Thinking about getting one myself, I have zero experience with any black powder firearms, what all will I need to get ?

This will be just a range toy as I've read that they are a fun lil gun to own.

Haven't seen one in person, just the stock photo. Post all the pics you want of them, I'm really interested.

Wonder how many guardian series guns are made yearly compared to the mini revolvers?

Very nice photos, thanks for sharing them.

I like em just for the pure novelty of it, and plus they're built to the highest quality of any gun I've ever handled.

The Blue sure is pretty, not at that price, but I plan on adding one eventually

Mine is a steel frame and while it had a hammer, I was a gunsmith and I replaced it with a bobbed hammer.

Pic below of my uncle's guns and the cuffs he carried, these were left to me.  Both revolvers are 38 spls.

Really nice wheelguns, it's hard to beat the blueing on a S&W.

I have owned 4 - 3 Milford (original) production and 1 Southwick (new owners). Milford guns have been flawless. Southwick wouldn't cycle a full mag at the range and went back (at my cost to the new owners) and after it came back I sold it. Sticking with Milford guns (my current one) and NAA minis for now.

It is a shame that there has been so much drama around the Southwick guns as Milfords were almost always good to go.

Agreed.

The Southwick guns just aren't the same.

Yep, been there.

Hi dsnitker!

Welcome to the madhouse Forum!

I had my Black Widow Coated by Robar in Phoenix AZ

https://robarguns.com

They have been doing this for over 30 years.  I believe it is the largest gun-smithing shop in the US (they have 7 Gun Smiths on staff)

My Black Widow in Ro-Guard Matte Black and NP3+ is the silver parts.

The coatings are very durable. I carry it everyday and use it to "final fit" 4 or 5 holsters everyday.

That is a remarkable looking setup!

I've owned 2 of them, really good pistols, very reliable. Sold them as I was offered more than I paid for them, would buy another without hesitation.

I have a 380 and a 32

I've put less than 50 rounds through the 380, it functions fine.

The 32 on the other hand has been dreadful, I purchased it used,  and it had to go back to the factory for a complete rebuild for the slide flying off every few rounds.

After receiving it back, after 30 some more rounds the hammer strut has broken, this has been the worse pistol I've ever owned.

The older guns may have been top notch, the newer guns not so much.

The mini that got me back into the minis was my Pug. It's rare that I go anywhere without it. My collection has grown larger since making the Pug purchase.
Real nice photo

I'm sure this has been done before, but I thought it'd be fun to look back on the mini that started your NAA addiction!

For me it was the mini 22 lr. My LGS had two minis in stock. A combo 22 mag and a 22 lr mini. I didn't know how much I'd like it so I opted for the smaller 22 lr. Plus it was cheaper.  Little did I know after all these years I'd still be hooked!

Still can't get over how great of a pic this is, it's perfect!
