I've been thinking about a Chief's Special for awhile.  I had a Model 60 in the 1978 and traded it even for a Smith & Wesson Model 58. HeyJoe's Baby Smith inspired me to look hard. I found a blued Model 36 made between 1969 and 1970 in my favorite gun shop last week in 95% condition that was fired very little.  I traded even for a Remington Model 722 in 222.

OV-1D, thanks, and No, I live in Western, New York. We're known for the "blizzard of 77," Lake Effect Snow Storms. We're going to have a foot or so of snow, white-outs with visibility down to a quarter a mile, including 35 mile per hour wind starting today and through the weekend.   What leads you believe I live in a warm climate next to the equator?

Traded a Model 60 for a Model 58!!!!!  That was a great deal!!!!!  Model 58s are like hen's teeth.

Nice looking Model 36. Dumb question,do you use the sap first?????

It's not a dumb question. First is always contingent on the situation and escalation of deadly physical force.  I have used it twice to save my hands from bruises and cut knuckles.

I wish i had known you were looking. We just sold a (pre model 37) Chief's special Airweight. It only weighed 13 ounces! I hope you still have the mod 58. That is one of the several on my "want" list.
