I've had two LCRs, .22LR and .357. The .22 had a problem that the extractor star dug into the frame. Ruger replaced the gun. Then the crane release jammed on the .357. Ruger replaced the gun. Then the replacement .22 had the transfer bar and trigger return spring both break at the same time. I told Ruger I'd had enough, and they asked what I wanted as a replacement. I said SP101 snub in .357. They traded even, didn't cost me a cent. I sold the .357 LCR shortly after. All in all, I made a little money.

I had bought the LCRs for carry and practice. I already had a .22 SP101, so with the new .357 I still had a carry and practice pair, thoughthe .22 is four inch. Worked out for me.

I love Rugers, this is the only one that turned me off.
