Westerly, what's that about shotgun shells with only a primer? That sounds like a great idea. What do you load them with -- bbs?  Is it very loud? I might be able to get away with that in my back yard.

Carl, welcome to the forum and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You'll enjoy the mini so much that more of them will follow you home. And Florida is just deep East Texas to us.

Welcome from another Floridian, Jacksonville here.  Congrats on the mini, they are fun little toys!

My apologies also for the thread drift Carl! Good info Blitz! Thanks buddy! ;-)

cedarview kid

I like yellow duckies.

(Oh, whoops, my apologies, too. Sorry.)

grayelky

Isn't this the Thread Drift thread? Why is every one apologizing?
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

Bb we used to reload alot of 12 ga when we were shooting skeet twice a week.  When the shells became unreloadable we would pop just a primer in them and use them as targets for .22's.  They were fun to shoot and you always knew when you made a direct hit!

Westerly,  Shucks.  I thought you had discovered a low-powered backyard shotshell for blasting insects. Would a primer be enough power to spit out a light load of shot maybe in a .410?  Has anybody heard of anything like this?

carl_h_sr_58

Hey again all. I like this 'drift' thing.

To EBG,I have heard the name Holt many times and I know it is pretty close to me.

i am not too good at the photo thing, but I will try to put one up soon. Past few days around here have been pretty hectic,so I still haven't fired my mini yet. In fact I haven't fired any of my guns in a few days.  Later Y'all,Carl

P.S.Man,I sure have a bunch of welcomes to reply to.  :-)

I don't know about that bb.  If I was gonna try it I would try a .410 load with rock salt and see what happened.  Might just make a mess but I know guys that used to lighten the loads when they put rock salt in to keep their neighbors horses off their yards or the whitetails out of their gardens.  I don't know of anybody that used just a primer but I'll try just about anything once...

''but I'll try just about anything once...''

That statement has got me into trouble 1000 times.
''I'm a humble man, indeed, I have a lot to be humble for.''

heyjoe

that and "hey watch this"
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

zippovarga

The gene pool needs more chlorine.

westerly1965

Heyjoe where I come from I think statement is usually "hey hold my beer and watch this" lololololol

Dinadan

Westerly - I thought the same thing! By the way, it is usually said at a hunting camp!
