Forever,  I've been reading about how wonderful one verse another NAA  handgun is and why, & just how collectable it is now.  I've heard the anticipation for the new 4" sidewinder and I am sure I will be one to get in line to buy it also.  Yes, I am right there with all of you NAA nuts on this forum cause I am just as crazy about all of mine as you are.

But, but, BUT... I WANT A BLUED PUG...I really want a blued pug Mr. Sandy...actually I want 3 blued Puged.  Two for the shoebox like my Uncle Lee, and one to be engraved and carried.  Is there anything on the horizon for me? You gave Uncle his wish come true and it was a lot harder I think to design a 4" Sidewinder and test and prove it in.  Please think about it or maybe there is a distributor out there who interested.  Anyone got any ideas on how I should go about this or where?  Thanks my crazy friends!

Call naa and see who blued the black jacks. They may be able to steer you to who can blue the stainless steel. Someone on here (Uncle Lee, maybe?) had conversion cylinders blued for their black jack.

;D That's it, hope and a dream but you know what the good book says... You have not cause you ask not!  You can't get between a person and their dream; isn't that right Uncle Lee?  Nor guilt them into not pursuing it.  The dream will always win and you try and hold them back and they turn in on themselves morphing into something close but never the same...

Come on Sandy you know you can do a better job than anyone on this project.  The magnificent Pug is your baby....she just needs to be also available in blue.  Oh so pretty in blue.  Think + sales!! from all us crazy Pug fans.

I did have a couple of LR cylinders coated for the Blackjacks.
They were done by the same company who coated the Blackjacks with the same coating.
I sold the pair to someone who really wanted them.

You can contact them to see what types and colors they can/will do.

Thank you both ikoiko and my Uncle Lee....I will do so today.  We'll see what they have to say.  ;)

PS: you are right, very nice folks and willing to take a single job through a gun shop/FFL company to company order but not direct from a consumer which is understandable.  However, the price for Blue coating a Pug and 2 cylinders = $450

Dang Auburn - now you've got me wanting one. I was looking at my blued magnum and realized you are right! The Pug would be truly stunning with the blued finish!

Oh Mike...you are s-o-o right!  Let's get this campaign going.

Let us think about the old Colt .25 and so many other small derringers which were also blued.  even today others offer it as options. So can't you just see how great a blued pug would be ...

The Black Jacks were not blued. They are SS with a DLC (diamond like Carbon) finish. The blued minis are carbon steel with a magnificent blue job. Drawback is if the gun is carried, that magnificent blue would soon be not so pretty. As to a blued Pug, I personally doubt it, unless maybe TALO wants to commission them. I have been waiting on them to sell enough to reach a particular serial number, in the hopes I could get it, but it is still some time in the future. Like so many other things, if enough interest were given the subject, and some advertising was done, I suspect the blue guns would sell much better. Just don't hold your breath, as it seems the factory is still quite busy building their mainstay SS mins.

May I suggest you contact Ms Jessica and arrange to have a blued magnum mini shipped to your local FFL holder, so you may gawk in awe at just how nice a job NAA has done on the blued minis, and perhaps spur you on to find a source to commission a contract run of your desired Pug in blued I carbon steel.

I'd like to see NAA offer a blue version not a special run but as a standard option. Bet it would sell like hot cakes.

Stainless steel does get old after awhile I must admit . I want to see some case hardened Earls with fluted cylinders now were talking . ;)

I suspect one question Sandy would need answered is,

"How much extra would you be willing to pay for____________".  (You fill in what you want and how much you would pay for it.)

I am in the camp for It to be a part of a standard product line.  Sure the idea of a DLC or a blue coating would justify reasonable additional cost, but the real driver for this option I truly believe is that I would be buying MORE Pugs...just because it's available. Therefore, if I were Sandy (and I'm just saying) looking to grow my profits and improve sale, I'd strongly consider a color/finish option over a design investment as a way to accomplish +++ business goals.

$1000.00 each for a pair of .32 acp minis with my serial numbers. There I filled it in...

You have a ways to go to catch me on begging for the .32 acp mini.  I just don't beg as much as I once did because Sandy said it was not going to happen.
That don't stop me from wanting.
