I have carried a Guardian as my back-up for years but now am looking for a BW.  The one dealer here in the mountians of NC says he cannot get BW.  Are they hard to get?

Not at all Boots...Mine is right here in the safe. lol

You can request one from your local dealer if they use any of the distributors NAA uses as well as using the on line gun sights.

Mine was in stock at my local dealers and was one of 15 he had in stock. You can also check surrounding dealers and see if you can purchase from them, then have them ship to your local FFL. This route as well as an on line purchase will most likely include a transfer fee. They range by dealer, so check the fees first.

Boots-

   First, Welcome to the forum!

I made a quick check of 3 distributors, and none of them have the combo BW in stock. I did find Lipsey's has 9 adjustable sight and 4 fixed sight models in 22 mag only in stock. If your dealer buys from Lipsey's, this should help.

As a side note, while looking, I did run across the 1 5/8 barrel Black Jack in stock, and found this picture:

All of the Black Jacks I have seen have 1 1/8 barrels, and wooden (Rosewood?) grips, with the black spade in them.

Mine have the short barrel (with those volocity killing ports).

Yeah I checked the distributors and none have the 22m/22lr at this time.  I will wait till I find the combo since I want the lr and am not willing to pay the extra cost and trouble of purchasing a cylinder from NAA.

If you have the patience (and it seems you do) it is a much better deal. For what it is worth, it seems NAA has made a large shipment of guns, as I found as many as 65 of the standard mini mag in stock. Maybe they will ship some BWs soon.

I am patience and frugal so I will continure to ck distributors.  In the past there has been a gun show near here in the fall but I hope not to wait that long.

Boots, I checked our two local gunshots when I was looking. One was totally unwilling to order one for me. Said they weren't available.

I wrote NAA. Jessica wrote and told me to order one and I'd have it in six weeks.

I went to the other gun shop.Tthey, too, said "not available". I talked to the owner of the shop. She said they were, " hard to get", but placed the order for me.

I had my new combo BW in FIVE weeks (better than the six weeksJessica anticipated).

Just make them order it and go about your business.

I just got a call from my local gun shop and he said he expected to have my BW this Friday or next Monday.  Next up is one of Johns's pocket holsters and Chong grips. Guess it is time to let my wife know what is coming.

I have the Chong grips. I think they look better and change the way my trigger finger engages.

Still waiting on John's pocket holster. Maybe this week...

Jestus I am thinking of getting the black acrylic grips.  What do have?
