Looking foward to the EB release of the Ranger II! I have an original Mini, a Sidewinder, a Pug and a Black Widow! But...I missed out on the original Ranger! Oh...how I hated missing out! I love breaktops of all kinds...but I am really in love with NAA Revolvers! So...I am really hoping to qualify for one of the EB releases of the new Ranger II.
I have many handguns, but most of my favorites are single action revolvers...and my absolute favorites are the NAA Revolvers. No matter what else I'm carrying CCW, and my favorite large caliber is a 44 Special, one of my NAA Revolvers is most always in my pocket or a second holster! In my humble opinion, these NAAs are among the finest firearms made. They are, quite simply, functional, reliable, works of art! You just can't go wrong with an NAA firearm!
Of course being on this message board, I'm pretty confident that I'm preaching to the choir....still I had to chime in. Thanks for reading!

I, too, am looking forward to the EB release. I was fortunate enough to get an EB Ranger. Unfortunately, I was very confident the Ranger would have gone into production I had 2 more come through the shop and sold them both. If I had had the money, I could have gotten a third, and perhaps a 4th one. While I would love to have one more of the first Gen Rangers, it just ain't gonna happen. At least not at the prices they usually bring!

Yeah... I get it! I totally missed out on the first Ranger, and there was no way I could justify the resale prices on ebay. I don't do safe queens...everyone of my 30 handguns are carry peices! So I just have to hope I can get one of the Ranger IIs...sure hope so anyway! One thing I do know..if they're NAA...they're quality. No matter what gripes you may hear or read...if it ain't right Sandy will make it so!
Proud owner of 4 NAAs and always looking for my next one!

Ranger II Ranger II  please, thank you
I like the new style "Schofield type" lock up better than the old "Iver Johnson type"
Bring it on, thanks.

I'll just have to settle with my Sidewinder if i totally miss this one if they don't make enough.

I love my Sidewinder so I think you will be OK.  There will be regular production of the Ranger II so you can always wait for one of those....like I probably will be doing.

For whatever reason the sidewinder never caught my attention. My local dealer has tried to sell me one every time I go in to order another NAA but I keep passing. I showed him a pic of the Ranger II and told him hopefully I would be able to get my hands on one of them, love the design of that baby.

Unkei,
Agreed, the quality is amazing. I truly don't understand how they achieve the fit and finish for the price. If I qualify for Early Bird, I'll definitely buy one. Even if not, I'm just grateful that Sandy and company are doing this for us. As an officer of a small US manufacturer (we make electronic systems, such as door access control), I am somewhat aware of what a labor of love this must have been. I looked up the wire EDM process Sandy mentioned, and that is some seriously cool stuff and must carry a very serious investment price tag.

I can't wait!!

I started that way in the early 70's.  But somehow the Queens evolved and began taking safe space, claiming their kingdom within the bounds of retirement.  I never intentionally purchased a Safe Queen in the beginning, but as time pasted, and their availability began to thin out, they began to demand their own space, and negotiate with me on when they would go out to play.  So now, a few rule the safe and have secured their kingdoms.  Dang.  I still love them, but other than taking them out for a short caress and a yearly cleaning, they rule their empires in the dark.

I regularly carry the Sidewinder but am looking forward to a Ranger.
The Sidewinder looks and feels a bit fragile (mainly the ejector rod seem very thin).
I have not heard of any issues with the ejector rod but again seeming fragile most people are likely careful not to damage it.

I like shooting a cylinder or two through the gun when I am out where I can.
I am just concerned about losing parts on the regular mini's so am really looking forward to the Ranger.

+1 On Schofield Type lockup, nice improvement.

As members of NAA we all been waiting on comeback of the Ranger we heard rumors little over two years and then Sandy confirmed that the return of the Ranger was come true. All we have to do is wait until the production starts. 8)

Warthog

Yup, when it becomes full production no one will need to wait.  I am sure it is gonna put NAA on the map!

Yep but everyone wants to be first on the block with the new bike!

Warthog

Well, I can wait if I have to wait Stuffgeek.  The new Ranger will surely be regular production so if I can't get an EB, I will wait.  :)

Yeah.  In the last two year I drained the toy jar twice on other toys waiting for the Ranger II.  And please forgive me . . one was a Glock.   :o  Please don't tell anyone . . .

It will be nice to get a top break to finally shoot and try it out.
I am not sure if many of the original Rangers got or get shot much.
Hopefully the R2 will get to replace a Sidewinder for a pocket gun.

Ruger1628-
You sound like me. I, too, used to feel there had to be something wrong with someone who would buy a gun and not shoot it. I either have to change my mind or go find a shrink......

I love my Sidewinder. I wear it 24/7. I hope to also add the Ranger II, if I can be allowed into the early bird group.  HINT, HINT, HINT,  I work with a female who informed me that there have been times that she was nervous about people coming in off the street with nefarious intentions.  I showed her the clip attached to my pocket and ask her what she thought it was, whereby she replied it must be a knife or phone pouch clip. I showed her my Sidewinder with the holster grip, I informed her that the last thing you want to do is to shoot someone, but, be prepared for anything. A few years ago down in the big city, unfortunately, gun laden men placed late night store workers into the freezer and killed them. That will never happen to me.  My co-worker now wants an NAA. I informed her to also take the Home Self Defense course in order to know the laws and get her concealed carry permit.

what could be better than a Ranger II in your X-Mass stocking.
