My coffee is good this morning.  Hope yours is too.  Or whatever your morning drink is.

The only thing to make this better is if the holster for my new Pug gets here. It is in the mail.

:P

I am also waiting on a holster for my Pug. We'll have to post some pics of those when we get them.

Uncle_Lee

It's beautiful. Black on black, how did you know that was my preferred colors ::)

Sorry to hear about the 2nd type not quite making the grade. Never a failure just a work in progress.

Looking forward to seeing it up close and in person.

I am not sure what is a failure about that new design. I guess it depends on the pocket you want to fill. Might be great for a shirt pocket or similar. I have a few cargo pants and shorts; some have a cell phone pocket that could work in.

???

Anyway I just got back from a mini reunion with my brothers and assorted hangers on. Guess what was waiting for me when I got home!

Thanks Rick, love the new holster!

Texduk3

Very nice holster,  but partial to black leather.

It might be named "Quick morning photos".
But it takes me a loooooong time to gaze at them.
I love beautiful minis and holsters.

Awesome! Glad you like it!  ;)

The "Failure" was another design idea I had... I didn't send that one  :o

FWIW, Rick, any "failure" of yours is better than a lot other maker's "best".

Does the Pug & the BW take the same holster ?

I'd second that statement. Also with the barrel length difference between the Pug and Black Widow I'd say they probably require their own holster.

Uncle_Lee

I just found the revolver that I really want.
How do you put up a "go fund me" page??????
Wouldn't that look O-so-good in a Pink and Black holster from Rick?????

Is it just me but I love the Looks of the "Experimental" design.  Looks like it will aid in preventing the grip from printing in the pocket.

I need one for a Black Widow and a 1 5/8 Magnum!  I'll call to place an order...

Ken I'd tend to agree. I have a similar holster and it does a great job of concealing the mini. I definitely love to get my hands on one of Ricks version.

The difference in barrel length is the hang up.  The Pug will "go in" a Black Widow Holster but it really doesn't fit.

More quick morning photos...

Took Maddy (middle child, just graduated HS) shooting. She liked the minis but her two favorites were the Beretta 81 and Ruger Bearcat.  She did great shooting the 22LR mini with the boot grip.  She could get a full two finger grip on the little mini and as a result had good control on the firing line.

For myself the boot grip on the mini makes a world of difference.

Also -- it was my first time firing the Pug. I like it!

It was also the first time shooting my Uncle's model 36, which he carried as a backup gun as a cop 👮‍♀️ in the 60's.  It is not pink and black but would also look good in a DGL holster (preferably a black one).

Uncle_Lee

Congrats..
Sounds and looks like a really fun day.

Flash,
I have been bugging Rick for a few years about doing a Cargo Holster.  My thought on it was with the added width do a pouch for a Quick Strip ammo holder for 10 rounds and maybe a knife slot also.
The average Cargo pocket width of about 7 1/2" would keep it standing up straight.
The big problem with a pocket holster in a cargo pocket is that it falls over with the gun at the very bottom.

I'd be interested in a cargo pocket holster / gear organizer as you mentioned.  I do carry in a cargo pocket at times.  The holster is a bit small for a typical cargo pocket and it does "rotate" sometimes... I just check and reorient every now and then.  A slightly wider holster would certainly fix that.

FWIW the problem is more noticeable with my 22LR mini than the Pug with its larger, black rubber grip.  The Pug stays put better.  Even so, if Rick did a "cargo pocket" type holster I'd certainly take a look.

Wumbey Goomba

An attachable perpendicular "leg",
(For lack of a better term).
Then the holster would be able to use
in a regular or cargo pocket.

How about a snap on extension with holders for speedstrip and knife? Or multiple extensions for single items or other combinations?
Choose one from column A . . .

How about this idea Rick for a "Pocket Holster"? Similar to what you had pictured with the wallet shaped outline but have with velcro or snaps? One could then choose form different sized backs to fit different sized pockets.
