I don't understand why NAA continues with the tiny grips for their magnums when there are so many aftermarket products available.
It would be nice to avoid the additional product purchases and have the extended grips you want right from the start.
I tried posting comparable pics of grips but what we have here is not so user friendly posting images compared to other sites and I finally gave up trying.
The extended grips I purchased gives room for your ring finger compared to just the two finger grip my Pug came with.

you may not need it but you should have it

heyjoe

maybe because most people prefer the original grips, which are perfect for ultimate concealment and the surprise, up very close purpose of the firearm? maybe because most people do not target shoot with them?

You also have to remember that NAA may have staff and material shortages right now, due to some obvious and not so obvious reasons. I'm sure they have a lot of new things planned for the better future. If that ever happens...... :(

Buy an NAA Black Widow

Or just buy the Black Widow grips.  They do help a lot.

FWIW,  for those who have a non-magnum Mini, BW grips will only fit a "magnum" frame, and not  "22LR" or "22Short" frames

We do not see the big deal. In fact we prefer that NAA sell their Minis with the inexpensive Bird's Head grips. That way one does not have to pay good money for a grip one may not prefer. Rather, one can spend that money on the grips preferred for one's Minis.

Simply buy the Mini of one's choice. Then send off for the grips of one's choice. When they arrive properly fit and shim the new grips and then sit back and enjoy one's Mini fixed to one's own personal preferences.  ;)

I'm happy with these grips!  :)

I, too, like the CVang grips. I have them on 3 of my carry minis.

I also use Cvang grips on all my carry minis.

They work for me! They feel right, are practicable and affordable too!  ;)

We will, and do, take Secret Service grips on all our Minis. Almost always, almost, the wooden ones. They just feel so much better to us.  8)

I agree with Heyjoe. If target shooting was the purpose of my Minis, then the oversize grips would be better. For dropping in my pocket, the standard Magnum grips are better. A lot depends on where you live. In a cold climate where bulky coats are the norm, then maybe bigger grips would be better for carry. On the other hand, if I lived in a place like that I would carry a .38.

Anvil

I think regardless of climate what feels right in your hand is what is important. A two finger grip gives me much more assurance in steady shooting even at close range than the factory Pug soft grip but then I wear XL gloves so maybe I need a bigger hold than the standard set.
At least we have aftermarket choices, I just wish NAA offered them first and up front instead of other sources.

And wouldn't it be great if CVang grips was offered in the soft rubber like the original Pug grips?  ;)

Bigger guns shoot better, smaller guns conceal better.

Best yet would be to make your own. Then you can try variations until you find the grip that suits you the best.

That's great craftsmanship Canoeal! Exotic woods make a real difference in appearance but making them affordable I know is a hard thing to do with the labor of love. I want to have a pair of grips in Cocobolo for my Pug but then black plastic CVang grips fit my budget.
As my wife always reminds me, "if you settle for less you forfeit the best!"
But then she was talking about leather purses on QVC! LOL

That is precisely why I make my own...so I can afford  what is best for me.

Those CV grips are great but to me they work best on minis with the 4 inch barrels as they take away the tiny size of the 1 1/8 and 1 5/8 barrel minis. I got a pair for my 4 inch Mini Mag and they are a blessing! Great control and look wonderful with the larger barrel but if you like them with the standard size barrels, they do not add a lot of width.

Why make a tiny, super concealable gun with a 1 1/8 inch or 1 5/8 inch barrel even larger and bulkier with huge chunky grips? I?ve never understood that but to each their own.

I am a lover of stag grips preferably genuine Sambar stag grips and have them on all of my minis, (short, LR and .22 Mag), except the MM as mentioned above. I have smaller but very thick hands and have no problem shooting them with the stock sized stag grips.

As an alternative to what you ask is the rubber slip on grips that slip over the stock grips and are relatively inexpensive and give more positive grip and with a little dish soap can be installed and taken off if not needed.
