Ranger II Bolo Tie; A different kind of NAA Holster

One of our clients that has several Holsters from us decided he wanted something different

After locating the parts and pieces for a Bolo Tie he brought them to me and decided on having it made for his Ranger II

They come and go as fashion in parts of the Southwest but they can be easily found in Arizona clothing and tourist type stores and sometimes someone wearing one!

Questions, Comments, Constructive Criticism are always welcome!  Thanks for looking!
Rick

Origins
Victor Cedarstaff of Wickenburg, AZ claims to have invented the bolo tie in the late 1940s and later patented his slide design.[10]

According to an article in Sunset:

Victor Cedarstaff was riding his horse one day in Wickenburg, AZ where he was a cowboy when his hat blew off. Wary of losing the silver-trimmed hatband, he slipped it around his neck. His companion joked, "That's a nice-looking tie you're wearing, Victor." An idea incubated, and Smith soon fashioned the first bola tie (the name is derived from boleadora, an Argentine and Uruguayan lariat).[11]

Cool factor is way high, but the concealment factor is a little low. Of course, the Desert Gun Leather quality we have come to expect is present. Nice job, Rick!

I have cooled off some so I came back to see and smell the leather.
I haven't been let down.
Beautiful leather.

No details because it is the most embarrassing (stupid, foolish, uncalled for, -ain't no body that dumb) thing that I have done in my life.
I can't hear good so I don't use the phone.
A little "thing" came up while wifie was doing the laundry and I tried to talk to these people.
While doing it, THEY UPLOADED MY ENTIRE COMPUTER.....
Now what to do Coach??????????
They have everything in my life....

I'm a little lost on your post, it's not clear. What little "thing" came up ?  You were trying to talk to what people ? You mean you got hacked, opening an evil email link?

Maybe it's just too early for my brain.......

That is why I said "No details".
It was so stupid.
Yes, hacked.
Yes, e-mail.
Yes, like a total fool, I called the number.
It was something that I was involved in in the past.
Sounded real.
I bit.

Unc you sure ain't alone those assholes are contently sending ,asking everything that will catch you off guard . The wife a few years back lost $900.00 bucks by being scammed in the purchase of a puppy . Myself I've have those red page alerts come up and I fell for one years back also , computer was a total mess to the point even after fixing all that trash I had to replace it . Hackers ,scammers are a rotten bunch of evil doers and make things look so inviting and normal . Heck I wish I could stop all these Microsoft updates , each and every time they screw up my laptop one way or another .  I keep a gun beside me just incase one of those hackers happened to be seated across from me , BOOMMMMMM!!!
would that be a great to end a distasteful conversation with a scamming bastar*

Those pieces of crap that call and have an accent of Indonesian decent (and others) they catch holy grief with my responses , either they have no clue what I mean or they are a gullible bunch of morons . I've had discussions with all sorts of profanities thrown around  but they still try and converse , surely a strange bunch of idiots .

I'm surprised your security didn't catch it, unless you did something in a way that just didn't trip it. Wife did a couple of those, not thinking, and our Norton blocked them, thank Heaven. I wish you the least possible hassle.

Sounds like the newest thing being Norton's Antimalware Software sends you an email stating they charged your card for another year's subscription. When you call to tell them you have cancelled Norton's or never had it they obligingly cancel your charge but request access to your computer to clear it off your computer. If given ---> they have you!

Last I knew, you have to choose automatic renewal. I don't because if I'm patient, I can buy it at Office Depot on sale for about half off. The only problem I've had is if you install it early, you lose the remaining days on your current install.

Exactly, except it was McAfee.
And they got me.

Question:
Since they downloaded my entire computer.
Can they run another computer and get my e-mails, ect?

You mean they copied your computer, not wiped it clean, I'd guess. They could put your stuff in a computer that had room on its hard drive, under a different user. They click that user, and your computer would be in front of them. For what it's worth, they probably didn't get everything, that would have taken a lot of time. And a lot of things have your passwords on their server, not your computer.

McAfee? OMG, I had that years ago, and had a couple of minor incidents. Once I supposedly uninstalled it, i still found files connected to it all over my computer. Almost like a virus. It took me a week to hunt them all down. I changed to Norton, and have had no issues since. The latest version, 360, has the Virtual Private Network, VPN, feature that seems a good thing, encrypting everything. It actually fools websites as to a lot of information. All the ads you see that somehow know your location? The VPN makes them think I'm somewhere that's several hundred miles from where I really am.

Did you know the McAfee founder, John McAfee, hung himself? He was in a Spanish jail, held for extradition to the US. Wanted on big tax evasion charges.

That should go without saying, but glad you did. I didn't think of posting it. Money related first, then work your way down to trivial stuff, like this forum, LOL.

After my wife's passing, one of the first things I did was make a list of all my IDs and passwords. Thirty-odd and I can drop some of those if I ever settle all the mess she left. Three weeks and counting.

The first thing was to change all passwords.
Well really first thing I did was to go to google where it stores all the passwords and delete all those and stop autosave. That was within minutes of the call.
The next morning we went to the bank and changed the password and froze all credit.
Now I pray.

QuoteExactly, except it was McAfee.

Good thing to remember is that when one gets an email stating to call this number or go to this address link to clear up the matter. It may say it is your bank or credit card etc, but it may not be. We always go to google or our phone numbers list and call/link to their site and then state what we are calling about to clear up the problem. If it a true problem then they will know about it and get to work on clearing it up. If it is a scam they will tell us everything is fine and we can then tell them somebody is using their name as a scam and they will put their cyber team to work to shut them down.

Never use phone numbers, links to sites from the email. Always call/link to them from the internet or phone book.

What gets me is that a fake email usually looks really good. Sometimes their spelling or grammar gives it away. Then if you look at the top the sender's email address is usually some foreign sounding gibberish, or at best it's G-mail. No business would use G-mail.

EDIT: Just got one this evening. Supposed to be Capital One, and they mis-spelled Capital as Capitol. Weirdo address. "Click here for details of our sign on bonus" or something like that.
