Indexed blast shields as a safety factor

One thing I loved about the Break Top is you could index the the cylinder to a safety groove before closing.  The indexing grooves on the sidewinder really help you to make sure you are right on the groove before you let down the hammer.  This reduces risk I think and is a added safety feature that makes the Sidewinder configuiration a must for me.

I like that also.
I didn't expect it but is sure is nice. You don't have to look down the barrel to see if you have the cylinder in the right place.

Nice little perk that I don't remember was mentioned. I can't stop playing with the darn things! LOL.....Since there are no indoor shooting ranges around, I will probably wait for better weather before I go shooting.

I like the recoil shield the best about the SW, and the notches you speak of are a very good idea.

If you have a fluted barrel, it will take just a little practice to learn to put a thumb on one side, and a finger on the other, in the flutes. Once the distance is balanced, (equidistant from the frame) you are on a safety notch, and it is safe to let the hammer down.
