Okay, yall know I'm an old scuder and not as strong as I was years ago but no matter how many times I've tried, I cannot pull down and twist the release enough to remove the pin and load the cylinder.
It's very frustrating!
Is there some remedy to this or should I try somehow to strengthen my fingers again!
I think this is why I favor my trusty Earl! :-\
Keep in mind I don't have a problem with this on my Pug. ???
you may not need it but you should have it

Anvil,
Try using a small strip of rubber so you can grasp both side of the cylinder release.

This may give you the extra "grasp/leverage" to overcome the resistance.

Just a thought.

Yep, that worked TD with a rubber jar lid opener. Thanks but it's too bad I had to go to those measures.

Anvil,
Glad that I could help. When out in the field or on the range, instead of having that rubber can lid opener, maybe a large rubber band would do???
