cylinder pin fit

I just received a cylinder pin stated to be from a 22 mini mag, however upon fitting it it is not flush with the barrel, it fits loose.  The seller stated it was off a mini mag as well, however why the difference in the size?  Would it be ok to shoot with?  The pin will slide over when cocking the hammer, not so loose it will turn around the barrel, but should I be worried about it?  The ball inside that keeps it in place has no issue.  Is there a difference in barrel width between the short and long barrels?

That specialized pin is always a problem somehow or another. Send it in to replace see if thats any better , might have to do that multiple times to get a exact good one .
