Some custom grips made for me but not by me: Water Buffalo on the SAA's, Pearl on the 1896 Lightning and Ebony on the J-frame.

Yes, each grip is unique. OV-1D I see you made a beautiful set of ivory grips for a NAA mini. Do you remember the smell when grinding on ivory? Just like being at the dentist.  I also have Ivory grips on a set of 3 NAA mini's.

Alright...my turn to post after months of awe by the posts of others.

Daring to be a bit different and went with a material I'd not heard of until recently.  Stumbled upon some grips made with a material called Kirinite.  (Didn't see too much about it in the forums here.)  Sounds like its going to be pretty durable...right up there with corrian(?) counter tops.  Won't have a chance to go shooting for a while so won't know just how strong/durable they are.

Bought them from Spresser Knives and the color is called Desert Camo.  Wasn't too sure about the fit at first but once I got the screw tightened everything looked and felt great.  Seem to be about double the width of the stock Wasp grips.  Very impressed with his work.

While I would have preferred a more "flat" look, the metallics aren't really noticeable until the light hits the grips.  All in all very happy with the purchase.

85,

Those grips look really good on the Wasp! Really like the color - and the metallic look is nice.

I don't know much about Kirinite, but I think it is widely used as scales on folding knives.

There are a ton of gun grips made of Kirinite on eBay.

More elephant ivory.

Ivory is TOPS when it comes to how it feels and looks with it's Schreger line patterns , polished ivory has such a unique mystique to it , strange material that almost feels alive . Nice collection you have there , thanks for the pic's . :)
