Mighty Mouse Grip for Pug

So I know some of you guys have these on your Pug or maybe another model. I like it but after taking off the Hogue rubber grip the *** thing is slippery as hell and hard to hold. I thought of getting a sheet of that "A-Grip" stuff and trying that or even stippling it. Has anyone addressed this problem??
