How many rounds have you shot with your mini?

Anyone else keeping track of just how many rounds you have shot with your mini?



   CCI 38 rounds with 1 FTF.

   CCI HP 40 rounds



   How many rounds before it starts to wear and needs to be rebuilt?

Bought mine in 2000 and have an estimated 5-6000 rounds through it.

New trigger and mainspring. Both my fault though.

I installed the new mainspring and will do so with any other part in the future that doesnt have anything to do with the timing of the gun.

Not keeping track - several hundred LR out of each of my two favorites: Pug and

   Magnum Mini. Maybe a hundred mags out of each. Blitzkriger's numbers are good to read.

   I have had my Pug and Magnum Mini for a couple of years. It will probably be ten years

   before I hit 6 thousand, if I ever do.

Practicing drawing with empty cylinder, losing grip of the hammer mid way and it slamming back on the trigger at halfcock. A few of these accidents days apart broke the catch on the trigger.

Mainspring: decided it was time to open the sideplate for some spring cleaning and while attempting to reassemble, mainspring broke. Got a new one sent to me and reinstalled it the correct way.

6000 rounds in 12 years really isnt that much considering thats averaging a 500 round brick per year.

500 Rounds thru a mini is STILL a pile of ammo considering the manual of arms for loading/unloading.

I will be sending off my n2m Earl for a 22LR cylinder cuz i see lots of ammo in its future!

Totol not sure but my first mini that son has. Now. I shot it no less the 300 rounds per week for years. The main spring broke and it was replaced by naa and is going strong today.

Mine has been with me a few months now, it is a Magnum mini with conversion cylinder. I have fired 15 rounds of .22 shorts, 30 rounds of CCI mini mags, 30 rounds of Winchester Xpert .22 LR, 5 rounds of .22 LR shot shells, 2 rounds of .22 Mag shot shell, 65 rounds of Fiocchi .22 Magnum, and 15 rounds of Winchester .22 Magnum

I don't know exactly but I shoot m .22 LR Mini fairly often at my parents property........I would say I'm probably at about 3-400 rounds by now. One afternoon I was bored and shot several boxes of CCI Blazer through it, so that's about 200 rounds right there. I'm going over today to test out some CCI Shotshells,on paper to see how they pattern....... to see if they would work for anti-snake use while jogging.

At less than $200, the .22 LR Mini is a good quality .22 for the money, and I'm sure a LOT of people put a lot of rounds through them. Add a set of large Boot grips or the rubber grips, and you have a nice close range backyard tin can plinker....... You can't find a solid .22 for less than that, short of the cheap crap like the foreign made .22 Peacemaker clones made of pot metal and plastic.......

NAA makes the Mini Master and Black Widow which are obviously designed as range guns, so they have to be durable. And .22 LR's are cheap to shoot, so I could see people putting a lot of rounds through these. With practice, they are fast and easy to reload once you get the hang of balancing the cylinder and frame in one hand, poking the shells out and dropping in new ones........

I'm sure there are people who don't post on these forums who have NAA's with 10's of thousands of rounds, if not over the 100,000 mark.......

I have had mine for only a few weeks. I bought it used and sent it in due to a catch in the rotation of the LR cylinder, the mag was OK.
I have about 500 LR and about 150 mag through it so far. Many more to come!

I have a 22 Mini. I have been putting a 100 rounds through ever 2 weeks for the last 3 years or so, and I bought it used. Never had any failures. I haven't even had any 22 rounds that haven't gone off. I always shoot CCI MiniMag, so I guess the must be good. Thinking about getting a magnum mini soon though, but the Magnum will cost more to shoot.

I didn't know the made them that way! I will have to get one like that and then retire my old Mini LR to my bug out bag. It be nice if the made the 22 Mag casing the same diameter and just longer than the LR then we could interchange them just like a LR and a 22 Short Round. I had a BUNCH of shorts I inherited from my grandfather and I used them up in my mini.

I shoot both cylinders (some times on the same outing) for practice, but only carry with the magnum cylinder. I've lost track of the exact number of shots fired, but there has been a box and a half of shorts, a couple boxes of LR, plus some old loose rounds I had laying around, and three boxes of magnum 22's (Winchester and Fiocchi). All are equally accurate holding 4 of 5 shots on a drink can out to 15 yards.

The larger frame (compared to the LR frame) is still easily concealed in a pocket.

Shot plenty just to train my hand, eyes and arm to shoot from the draw or side . Once you train those three , sure not going to hit quarters or silver dollars even within a eight inches but hitting is all that counts .It takes awhile but once you find it it's like riding a bike . Close is good enough just like hand grenades as long as your in close . Hunting well we use rifles for that .

If one has been shooting the mini for years, there is no real way to know the correct round count.
