I like the S&W Mtn Lites 386 or 396.

The 396 is a 5-shot 44 Special that is nice and light.

Dam Goat that must smart some when you pull the trigger, don't think my hands could take that :'(

MtGoat

It doesn't hurt all that bad using Buffalo Bore loads out of it.
It actually is quite accurate and sure nice to carry.
Not as compact as a mini but not a whole lot heavier  ;D

Favorite non NAA handgun? That is a tuffy, as many have mentioned already.
1. Favorite as most likely to be carried is a Sig P238. Small enough to conceal
and big enough to hold onto (rubber grips) with great sights and easy to rack.
2. Mostest glad I bought it and pleasure to shoot is CZ83 in .380 12 rounds.
Bought new in 2011, not a surplus model. Then CZ quit importing them in 2012.
3. Honorable mention for my Tristar T-100, very nice CZ75 compact clone made
by Canik for Tristar. T series has Jericho style slide. Black checkered rubber grips
from CZ-USA a budget friendly upgrade over the Tristar plastic grips.

Texduk3

My non Naa's
Ruger LCS 9mm
Glock 43 9mm
Browning BuckMark (1991) .22 target
Eaa Windecater .357/38sp  4inch
is my favorite right now, as it is my first "full size revolver"
"God and Guns"
"Lets Go Brandon"

Tex, glad to hear you have the 4" Windicator. As I understand it they all arrive as 4 inchers
then to make the snubbies they cut 2" off the barrel. Four has a crown, two has flat end.

Left out one of my favOrite non-naays but was reminded recently when I found one used.
Already have a 21A Bobcat in 22lr then discovered a 25 acp Bobcat at a local pawn shop.
After failing to capture a 17hmr naa mini I went back by pawn shop and their bobcat looked
better to me than original visit. Worked out a deal, brought it home and cleaned it up which
it definitely needed. Turned out better than I expected. Beretta says it's birth date was May
1998 so be 20 y/o soon. Another neat small all metal mini gun, even made in USA like the NAAs

Today it's the Tomcat .32 Beretta. Fast, DA first shot, sa follow-ups, 8 rounds.

Tomorrow? Who knows?

Nice Tomcat, maybe I'll get one someday. Here a few pics of my non-NAA favorites
previously mentioned. Some might like 'em as well as helps fill my probation quota.
Bobcat be logical followup to the Tomcat I reckon.
Then another micro, Sig P238

Looks like a comfortable gun for the hand . The slide reminds me of a Desert Eagle .

What to do, what to do . . . my favorite non-NAA handgun . . . well so many of those that came to mind have already been introduced . . the Rugers, Sigs, Colts, and others; but which is my favorite?  Well, I began to whittle that down a bit, and had one picked out ready to identify, but then felt bad 'cause I was leavin' this other one out and I didn't want it to feel bad.  'Course if I had mentioned either one of those, I know of one bully in the safe that would have made it miserable on them.  So to keep things calm, I thought I would just mention that one, but them that whole self would pay the price for the next few months listenin' to it brag and carry on, then as that spread from shelf to shelf, I would have a real ruckus goin' on in the safe; you know how they all can talk among themselves there in the dark, and probably loud enough to keep my main squeeze up at night.  Then that is all I would need, for her to poke her nose in to settle the crowd down, and she runs into a few that she had not yet met before.  Oh boy.  Now I would have a lot a 'spainin' to do, and with all that noise in the background, something tells me that I most probably would not win in the end.

So, no, I can't think of one non-NAA handgun that is my favorite.  I love them all, that is why I bought them . . .well, maybe there are a couple that deserve the auction block, but I'll save that for another day . . . . shhhh . . quiet please.

I just paid off a LCRx 327FM recently, if I had to choose a favorite cartridge, it would be the 327 Federal Magnum.  Ruger recently came out with a number of revolvers, SA and DA in it too so maybe it will make a comeback?

Like most every one on this site, I keep the .22 Mag with me most of the time.  If venturing off to New Orleans or for travel I'll keep the LC 380 and the NAA .22 Mag.

My favorite handgun to shoot is the SW22 Victory that has a "few" upgrades on it.  But my favorite gun to shoot is my Thompson/Center Encore with a MGM (Match Grade Machine) 22LR Match 16.25 inch barrel.  It started off life as a scoped 22 pistol, but I put a Boyds Royal Jacaranda buttstock on it to make it a short barrel rifle and put a more powerful scope on it.

Like what you've done on that T/C 22. What scope is mounted and what is group size at 50 yds?

WECSOG

At the moment, this one. I've wanted a 4" Redhawk for a long time. I had a few S&W 4" .44 Mags back in the '80s and had problems with all of them. Also had a S&W 25-5, 4" N frame .45 Colt. Should have never got rid of that one. And, I've always been interested in .45 ACP revolvers that accept moon clips. For example, S&W 25-2.

I always liked the Redhawk, but in those days the shortest barrel available was 5-1/2 inches. They didn't make the Redhawk in .45 Colt (which I prefer), but I like .44 Mag too. At some point Ruger started making the Redhawk in .45 Colt, and I was happy about that. The bigger holes mean it weighs a bit less than the .44 Mag version. The standard load of a 255 grain lead bullet at 800-900 fps is a mild shooter yet can handle anything up through deer, hogs and black bear. A 200 grain wide hollowpoint "flying ashtray" at 1000-1100 fps is an unbeatable defensive round. And if you need more power, in a strong gun (which the Redhawk definitely is) .45 Colt can be loaded to exceed the .44 Magnum in power. In fact that is exactly what the original .454 Casull was.

At some other point, Ruger finally introduced a Redhawk with a 4" barrel. IIRC, they had dropped the .45 Colt Redhawk so at first the 4" version was only available in .44 Mag. That was ok; as I said I like .44 Mag too. But they were $600 and I just kept putting it off.
Then Ruger brought back the .45 Colt Redhawk, including a 4" version. Finally! The Redhawk of my dreams. But I still put it off, as the price continued to rise.

More recently Ruger introduced the best Redhawk yet: a round butt, 4" (actually 4.2") .45 Colt that is also cut to accept .45 ACP in moon clips. Three moon clips come with the gun, and you can get more from Ruger or at least one aftermarket maker. At that point I started looking for one that was actually in stock, and at a good price. Retail is over $1000, but I wasn't gonna pay that. I finally found one at a price I could accept, and here is it.

So right now, I would have to say this is my favorite handgun. And since it's not an NAA, that also makes it my favorite non-NAA handgun.

I own that first Redhawk in 45 Colt with a 4" bbl.  I never really wanted to have a 45 ACP for it though, I have other revolvers, more collectible revolvers, in that caliber.  I guess if I got a good enough deal I would trade my old Redhawk in for this one though.  My old one is a great shooter, very accurate and I have the trigger made so it is perfect for my use.

The scope on the T/C Encore is a Mueller 8-32×44 Side Focus Target Dot.  I've only shot the Encore at 25 yards as that's the entire length of the local indoor range.  I really need to get it over to the outdoor range now that the weather is getting nice.  I mostly shoot a single round per target rather than groups.

The rifle is a lot more capable than I am.  This is the best I've done so far in 5-round grouping using Geco 22LR match ammo:

<<<<< One guess.... :)

I have two stainless standard Ruger Bearcats. I've been shooting since 1979, and they are the favorite guns of any I've ever owned. They have Wolff main and base pin springs, and aftermarket EWK ejector housings. Mine are 2012, when Ruger's housings were still aluminum. I have a couple of Lett grips for Sunday go to meetin'. All makes them that much better.

Bill,
Tell me you benched that group. If offhand you are truely impressive. Either way it appears that is one nice piece of iron you've got there.
