How many do you carry?

So, with all the craziness in today's world I find myself carrying more than one pistol when I am out and about. I live in Florida so the lighter the better. I usually carry a subcompact pistol like a glock 43 or a compact sized glock 23. Sometimes I carry an extra magazine, but lately I've been carrying my j frame 38 special. I am excited to have another little 22 NAA to add as a bug and more than likely will go everywhere with me.

Anyone else carry more than one gun concealed?

Dirty Bob

#1
I do, in part because it's faster than a reload. Ruger LCR-357 and Black Wdow. BUG is also good if my gun hand or arm is injured or is grabbed.

Dirty Bob

Warthog

I carry two most of the time too.

Gus1759

Always have one in my vehicle and my mini mag is always in my pocket if I'm outside of it.

Uncle_Lee

Never less than two.
Never more than five.

I don't plan on reloading.
I think it is just as easy to carry a spare gun.

Usually most times the one .22 mini in my right side pocket. Sometimes Imay carry a second, but rare. Since I sold off my Glock 26, I've been waffling about what to get as a larger pocket gun. Drifting between a Chater Arms .38 under cover, or a S&W 640. But for the past thirty years it's been a mini in the pocket with a second mini sometimes. Going hiking or camping my S&W 317 or 3 inch 63 goes along.

Bigbird48

Seldom carry more then my BW but have 9mm in the car also

what's the weight difference between the undercover and 640?

RogueTS1

Two to three depending on the load out.

I meant the 642 alloy, my bad.  The S&W and the Charter are almost the same weight' `14 ounces for the Charter and 16 for the S&W. Both are pocket size and weight with no trouble. The biggest difference is the Charter is about a hundred dollars cheaper. The workmanship in the smith is better, but the Charters I've seen work well and seem to be a reliable little beast.

Have you tried an LCR? It's 13.5 ounces in the poly/aluminum .38+P version. Good sights and great trigger! I went with the 17oz. .357 version in poly/stainless, but for a steady diet of +P in comfort, not for magnums.

Yes, the Ruger is an attractive choice. First, I trust Ruger to make a great gun as my past Rugers have all been great guns. Second, it fits my favorite profile; small and light enough for pocket carry in cargo pants or slightly baggy dockers.

And the Academy Sports right down the road from e has them at a very attractive price.

bonjorno2

I have the 342pd and its stupid light! I think it's 10.8oz unloaded and just over 13oz loaded.

gunaddict

Always carry more than one if in the city.
Naa pug always with me and one of the following.
RIA 1911 10mm
Glock 20 10mm
S&W model 13 357 mag
Ruger lcr 327 federal mag
Bond Arms ranger 45lc/410

Rick_Jorgenson

Always at least 2,  sometimes 4, have not carried more than 6 at a time  ::)

Always

PUG
Black Widow

On special Occasions (Bar-B-Ques, Friends Birthdays, Date night with the Mrs.)

PUG ...Strong Side Pancake Holster
Black Widow..... Rt Back Pocket Holster
Earl or Side Winder...  Cross-Draw Holster
Short... Left Front Pocket Holster
Mini Master... Small-of-Back

Glock 17...  Rt Strong Side Pancake
PUG...  Left Frt Pocket Holster
Black Widow... Rt Rear Pocket Holster

I noticed that my 1-5/8" TALO Magnum w/Knife Does not see the light of day often.  To be truthful I haven't made a "Rig" for Gun & Knife.  They are a set and I'm not going to use the one that came with them!  Not that theres anything wrong with it... I didn't make it!!

The Sidewinder doesn't get much time out either, at least not like the others do.  I should step up on carrying it some!

Rick your getting quite  a collection there  :D

Warthog

I carry a pocket 8mm, and a BUG, usually an NAA 22 mag and soon I will also carry a 22 short as it will soon be the anchor for the chain on my pocket watch.  So I guess that will make three....plus a couple of flashlights, a couple of knives and a solid metal pen that can be used for strikes.

I know!  I think I need some more though.

I think a Sheriff, a Earl 3", a 6" Hog Leg, 2x 1-1/8" & 2x 1-5/8" Companions (See what Uncle_Lee has done to me, starting to think buying 2 guns of the same kind is normal!!)

While I'm ordering I might as well get a .22lr  (I don't have one)

And of course The Ranger II   I should buy 2 of them as well.... I don't know why but when I say it "forcefully" it sounds like a good idea!
Rick Jorgenson

Uncle_Lee

Always, always buy in pairs.
It keeps them from getting lonely.

Yes we wouldn't want the little guys to be lonely ;D

Just picked up my latest 22 short.  Gonna take it to the smith and get it a little eye loop so it can become my new pocket watch chain anchor.  Pix when done of course. ;)

On a normal work day I carry my pug. When off work I'll switch belts and have the sidewinder buckle and the pug in my pocket plus a glock 43 in a sticky holster iwb. In cooler weather the glock will end up inside pocket of my leather jacket. All carry comfortably while on the bike (very important)

Ruger

Cant say . . wont say . . . but I never leave home without it, or them; whatever . . .  ;D

You have set the bar high Uncle_Lee!

But, looking up at it gives a path to follow.   :)

I'm going to need to sell a lot of leather to buy 6 in a month!!  There's a couple goals right there!

Hopefully you will sell a lot of leather when the Ranger II finally gets here.

I carry the Guardian .32 and feel very comfortable with it. Had the "meltdown" service performed on it by the custom shop and turned out great! I have the 3 gun set but now seriously considering the Ranger II. I do like the idea of a bit longer bbl however.

Welcome to the Forum!

"Had the "meltdown" service performed"  Holy Cow!! That sounds serious! Tell me some more about that...

Is it only with the Guardians?  Malfunction?  Question...Your 3 gun set? Is it of Guardians or the Revolvers?

Lets see some Photos!!

Welcome again!!

Rick J.

p.s.

I'm hoping for a Ranger II  and yes,  if/when longer barreled options become available, I will buy them as well!  ::)

One to three. Usually two. Sidewinder and either lcr 357 magnum or a mini mag. Sometimes throw in a short.

The meltdown is only for Guardians; it smooths all the sharp edges to an extreme bevel. Doing so one cannot get the XS or Novac after market sighting systems for your Guardian.
