I just got notice by email that my Ranger II has shipped, today!

Ruger

The subject wasn't in CAPS.  So it doesn't count.   ::)

Congratulations!

grayelky

Is he gonna have to send it back and start all over?

pretty harsh fer a mis-type.

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll count when it arrives at his local dealer, regardless of capitals or not. :D

Caps or not you'll have yours before me. I'll be waiting til the ship they conversion sets and that's fine cause it shouldn't be too much longer til then. Looking forward to some pics and reviews from the first recipients.

grayelky

I ordered one of mine with, one without. Looks like I'll be getting 2 packages, 1 now, 1 later, which is okay with me.

Let's disect this. Do you think you'll get two shipments or do you think they'll hold your one pistol til the other is ready to ship. Not trying to rain on your parade. Just wondering.

You are right joe,
Business is business. They make money.
Why pay two shipping charges when you can pay one?

I dunno, guys, greyelky was the first to announce that his card was charged. He ordered one with, one without, so wouldn't they charge his card when both shipped, if they were shipping together? It seems to me that he's probably getting one now and one later. I agree, it makes sense to send them at the same time, but it doesn't really sound like that's what's happening.

I guess we'll see later this week.

That could be too. We'll know soon enough ;)

From the information we received from NAA via Jessica yesterday, my guess would be they are sending them out satisfying EB orders, randomly, as the appropriate Rangers are available, I doubt in the scheme of things they are concerned about saving a couple of bucks by combining shipping, with all they have going on, I'd imagine keeping it simple is the key.

Again, I think we're overthinking this, but who can help it? :D

If they are truly random, does that mean that if you ordered 2 with the same configuration, that they might get sent separately? And does that mean that a double order doesn't guarantee sequential serial numbers? I hope not.

I'll help this part, a little. I didn't bother looking the other day at how much my card was charged. After reading these comments, I got curious, too. I just checked. I have been charged for one BT, and I am pretty sure it is w/o a second cylinder. Seems I will get 2 packages! Yay! Uh oh. That means they will charge my card, again! Okay, that part is not as much fun.....

So, on the plus side, Gray ...  You might be getting a low serial number.  But on the downside ... maybe you won't have sequential serial #s?  Hmmmm ...   ???
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

I only ordered one and so long as it has eb I'm a happy camper.
Never even thought of sequential serial numbers on the orders. Way to pour the salt in the wound RJ 😄

Woohoo NAA have BOGO. Buy One Get One free? :)

I guess it's still possible they picked out your Rangers and sent one to have the 22 LR cylinder fitted, otherwise I guess they won't be sequential.

It may be less important on the Ranger II, but a brace of sequentially numbered handguns are always at a premium. For the original Ranger, I'd imagine that's the "Holy Grail" for the serious collector.

Just wondering does anyone on here have a YouTube channel that will be posting about the ranger 2 when you get it

I'm definitely planning on it. I'll post a link when it's ready.

grayelky

Thanks for busting the serial number idea. Yeah, I would have preferred sequential numbers. Guess I shaould have ordered both with, or both w/O the LR cylinder. Oh well. I'll still get 2 EB's, and when I'm done, both my boys will have one.

"EB pieces will be identified with the serial # EBIIXXX.  No custom serial numbers will be available".

From Sandy's Soapbox October 2017, I don't know it that covered sequential numbers or not.

For all other early birds from NAA, when I've ordered two, they were always sequential.

Chacha77

Thanks MR 22. Looking forward to it.

RangerJim

Well, I have a thought ...
Maybe if they are not sequential, we could share out our numbers on the forum, and match up people for some (legally-performed) "swaps" ...   ;D
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?

I would swap my one with somebody to get them sequentials ................................ I don't know about the legally though ............ might cost too much.

Warthog

OK, I will gladly swap with whomever wants to so they can have sequential serial numbers.  I will post mine when they come in, but so far no notification for me.  :'(

Shipping costs, transfer fees, and background-check fees, if any, would apply--unless you're swapping with somebody in the same state, of course.
