anybody else get the conversion cylinder for 22MCB? I got one off ebay- shoots 22 LR very reliably- lots of fun

OLD and GRUMPY

Have looked at them.  Up date us after a few boxes. WITH PICS.   Try to find some Stingers   or those Aquila  1700fps rounds.

Don't think it will replace a good old Mini Win Mag but sounds fun.

PS-  Welcome post more.

lefty dude

For that price you can almost buy another cartridge Mini.
Unless of course, if you are an illegal, ex felon or have a reason not to fill out a paper to buy a cartridge firearm.

Once knew an ex-felon who had a Black powder C&B revolver, he used for protection. He bought it, owned it with out any paper work necessary. Later he got his Gun rights back.

OLD and GRUMPY

Reason to not fill out paper work??

F'ING  Jerry Brown. If it's brown flush it down!

OR just because you can  ;D. Don't need a reason.  Have cartridge guns AND conversion  for 1851 Navy.

Just because I   CAN!   F  Jerry Brown!

That is the only reason you need. You are an American and that is what you want.
People just don't understand the love in shooting a converted revolver. Big or small.

I would rather have a cap and ball conversion cylinder that fits the cartridge guns.

Colibri  is so quiet I can fire it in the garage  If I put some Stones on the radio and crank it up.

Does the conversion cylinder need to be timed by NAA?

OLD and GRUMPY

HOPE NOT! Don't think they would.  Legal Crap. Just mount it. Run a drill bit of the proper DI down the bore and feel if there is a catch at the front of the cylinder.

So far every one talked about has worked fine.

WTF!  You don't need all 5 of those fingers do you?   ;D ;D ;D

The first time I saw a conversion cylinder was at the first NRA Reno Convention. I thought it was the best idea since sliced bread until I asked the price. Might as well just buy a cartridge revolver. That still seems to be the case with this one.

OLD and GRUMPY

The Ebay seller contacted me to find out how I found such a obscure product.  I told him that I would be posting a honest report on it and gave him our link.

He may be lurking.  Be good kids. ;D

Tell the seller that he needs to drop the price significantly.  I can get a whole 22LR pistol (new and shipped) in either 1 1/8th or 1 5/8ths barrel for about $10 more than just the conversion cylinder and not have to keep up with the "firing buttons" which most assuredly would end up lost in the grass when I went shooting.  Admittedly, I also have to pay the FFL/background check fee.  But $45 more for a complete 22 LR pistol is a no-brainer to me.

Why would he drop the price? People are buying them. Same with conversion cylinders for other c&b revolvers; they're all expensive and with good reason, given the amount of work that goes into one. It would be pretty hard to sell them much cheaper and make any money.

Personally, I have zero interest in one. I would rather have a parts kit and an 80% receiver if I didn't want to fill out a 4473 and couldn't find one in a face to face deal.

Am I missing something? The only reason to deal with all those little pieces, seems to do an end run around buying a cartridge gun w/a background check...

I wish they would expand the Companion lineup. Maybe a "Companion Carbine?"
I know I enjoyed shooting my Super Companion a few years ago when lots of other people were rushing from store to store, trying to get some .22 ammo.  :D

i took a look at this conversion awhile back just cuzz it looked workable. i was wondering about the circular firing pins falling out but i guess that system works fine. im glad ya like it.

Warthog

A Carbine would be cool but I don't see NAA doing it.  That would require a big expeniture of capital to make such a firearm verses what they have now to work with....

Yeah, you're probably right.
It just occurred to me btw that a buttstock would be legal on the Companion series regardless of barrel length. Not with a conversion cylinder, though.

Cylinder came.  Seller was fast to ship and email me.

I am impressed how the firing pins are made. They will not fall out. The chambers are well cut and clean. Hope to go to the range this week.

I have made this man a couple of decent offers, he declines them faster than I believe he even considers them. :(

So I guess I will just hope he has more when I am able to get saved up, prolly be a while but I should be OK.  Makes a nice addition to my NAA Collection mostly since I already have a few 22LR and 22Short Minis to shoot.

Keep me posted on how it works and how well it holds up Old and Grumpy, if you think of it. :)
