Factory Only parts

I've long been in the habit of keeping spare parts for all my guns, as I like to keep them "in service" without any trips home, especially carry guns. I generally overdo it. So, I've had an automatic search on eBay for Guardian 32 parts for a while.

Because?  NAA will not sell any of the slide release parts for Guardians, factory only. I've read of at least two shearing off. I can see the actual release button maybe needing minor fitting; but also the spring, retaining pin, and bearing (a ball bearing)?

Yesterday I got all of the slide release parts, and nine other parts in the lot, for $45. Estimating the release parts, factory price for the lot would have been $135. I already have some of these parts from NAA, some not.



The seller has a long list of many large and small parts lots. I assume his source is police auctions where the gun frames have been made unuseable.

I'm not worried about having "crime gun" parts. Cops can confiscate a gun just because a parolee had it, or several other reasons. I doubt a gun that harmed anybody would be allowed for auction.

This eBay guy has parts for lots of brands. I have heard about "lunchbox guns" in relation to 1911 manufacture during WW2. Taken home one piece per day. No numbers, and mismatched numbers. They are prized by certain collectors.
