I had 2 Armalite AR-7's that ran everything I put in them and never missed a beat.

It doesn't matter that a folding stock gun can be fired when folded.

And they have to be 26" with the stock EXTENDED, not folded.

I suspect they would argue that if you can fire it with the stock folded & it is less than 26" you have made a pistol out of a rifle.

Can you give me any examples of ones that are legal?

Actually, to meet the requirements of GCA-68, the folded stock only needs to be extended for qualification measurement to meet the 26" OAL rule.

Once it has a barrel at least 16" long, and is at least 26" with the stock extended, as  long as it's not a machinegun or a shotgun, it's entire legal under US Federal Law.

Armalite is a great manufacturer of said weapon , I too never ever had a problem , shot like a dream .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

This is a picture of the auction where everything was sold.
The AR-7 is the one I kept hanging in the shed to shoot black birds.

I've never seen an AR-7 like that but it does tend to confirm there is an example of a folding? stock with a pistol grip. All that would be needed would be the ability to insert an extra magazine in the grip like the pistol version. (That was the only good feature it had.)

Uncle_Lee

It was a sliding wire stock.
Had to carry the extra mag in my shirt pocket.
Didn't have an extra mag in the shed.

The ruling was originally made about the UZI carbine, I believe.

I won't carry a laser device... unless it has stun, kill, and disintegrate settings.
