I hope it's okay that I post this on this particular Forum.  I'm looking a threaded barrel for my Beretta model 21A 22 long rifle that will work with my suppressor. Does anyone know a company that makes these currently?
Thanks

NICE!  Here is mine below, but I love yours!

They're neat little guns.  Apparently, sights are redundant with a can  ;D

Of the guns I've owned and sold, the M21a is really the only one I have some regrets about.  It was quirky and high-maintenance: it had to be kept scrupulously clean every day it was carried if one was gonna rely on it to feed and function perfect for even three mags in a row but, if kept that clean, that thing was unbelievably just stupid accurate. And mine shot the best with Stingers, which it isn't supposed to do. But ultimately I sold it... ah well. The lure of "five 22mags for sure" won out.

I have had several over the years. Probably about 5 or 6. All functioned good with Mini mags but did not like anything else. I've always wanted one to use with my suppressor. I got one the other day and was shocked to discover that it runs flawlessly with sub sonic, standard, or minimags!! I took it right out of the box and started shooting it. Has not malfunctioned yet with about 150 rounds of low velocity ammo.
I have checked the sites listed in the post above for barrels but all seem to be sold out. If called and left emails with them so maybe one will get back to me. I was wondering if Gunsmith could attach a threaded adaptor to the muzzle.?

ADCO out of OH does all mine. If you can remove the barrel send them the barrel and slide and inside of two weeks they will return it threaded correctly and ready to go. Very fair prices too.

Guess it's a good thing I can't find one or two of these like Warthog's locally.   I would have to buy them.  I have had these before, with a little fluff and buff and the right ammo, never had a problem.  I guess they are all accurate, I know mine were.

be very carefull about driving the barrel pivot pin out. you must use a block or you will risk breaking one of the frame lugs off. trust me. ask me how i know.   i have a almost new blue spare barrel for 55 dollars. if you are interested send me a pm. kevin.

oh, no , it is not already threaded. i just have alot of parts as i was a weapons repairman fer over 40yrs. but this way you get to have a spare tube in case you sell the 21.  kevin.

I have one more follow-up question. I have a very good local gunsmith that is going to machine an adapter for the end of the Beretta Barrel. He's then going to high temp solder it to the barrel. Is High temp soldering strong enough and permanent enough for a suppressor attachment?

Not much better than brazing if that's any help . I think most of us would go directly to the barrel for attachment .

He said he would machine it where it would just barely fit over the barrel so that it would line up and then high temp solder it. I am going to double check with him to make sure he will guarantee it.

OV-1D

Its best to triple check for sure . Good luck . ;)

1100 degree silver solder?  Since you are unlikely to heat the barrel enough have any effect on the solder, I'd guess yes.  But your gunsmith better be very good at it as there is the possibility of damage and the adapter needs to be concentric to the bore of the barrel.  I'd hate for you to have baffle strikes on the suppressor.

I won't carry a laser device... unless it has stun, kill, and disintegrate settings.

Well, when I was yet a Gunsmith, Silver Solder was allowed when you were to "Permanently" attach something or another to the barrel's end.  Of course now you have to pin it, blindly, as well, but I can't remember a single time where someone brought back a gun nd said to me, I was rapid firing and the silver solder melted and the extension came off my barrel.

Silver Solder should b fine for what you are wanting done 38sp. :)

silver solder is a superb way to attach that adapter. once on it is not going anywhere. it has been used by every smith i know including myself.

Thanks for all the info. I am very excited and ready to get it back !!

Welcome to the sd club; the Berettas make wonderful hosts for cans.
