Great bunch of pieces there Autofull. I love them all. I was in elementary school in 1978. I had to wait a bit after the 1986 Hughes Amendment to get into the Class 3 game. Prices were still great ................. but not that great. The internet is what drove the prices through the roof. Nobody knew these things were legal until the internet let out the secret and prices soared through the roof. Great collection though.

gebe, I love it............
A lot of Italian (I think yours is) are very good quality.
It should have the maker's logo somewhere on it.
Please post some pictures of the markings.

Thanks Unc. These are the only other markings on the gun.

gebe

Thanks also Honky Tonk Man and OV-1D for your kind replies.

No one makes aftermarket grips for this Buntline but I had this set of very vintage fake stag grips that went to who knows what revolver just laying around. After about 2 hours of judicious, careful filing, I got them to fit! I thought a cowboy gun NEEDED a set of cowboy stag grips. :)

yeah, i built my first one back in 77 i think, i still own it sooo, i will look up the form date. i still have lotsa toys im selling off. i have a new in crate, navy browning 1919a4 in 308, vietnam era. closed bolt not an israeli open bolt gun. it is transferable but it belongs in a museum display i feel.  i have an unfired 1918 browning bar by winchester, all wood , no bipod and it is blued and nib. kinda like the gangsters liked. i will find a museum to donate it to and take the tax credit. oh and i have an unfired johnson 1941 mg, 30-06 with 20 original magazines new in the crate. big bucks though and i do not want to see it fired. kevin.

Autoful YOUR A REAL PAIN IN THE ASS with all those sellable pieces , I have no more sellable children left to trade for anything . :)

im sorry, this is my retierment fund. im glad i bought a ton of new transferable pieces when they were damm cheap. im also keeping a pre 1968 transferable swedish k. i found that along with an uzi of the same ilk in the warehouse of a close relative. he was kinda a well known international arms dealer. maybe you heard of interarms in virginia. he had stuff that was way cool and forgotten, i just looked at atf sheets to see what was there.  it has taken 40 odd years to git to this point and i have loved it. more range time now.  kevin and victoria.

RogueTS1

Sooooooooooo nice Autofull. I would never sell any of that off. I would simply place it in the Estate Armoury Trust for future generations enjoyment.

PS: We will gladly take anything off your hands that you want a tax write off for.  ;)  ;D

well, if you become a not for profit museum i can do it. my friend who was a civilian scientist at aberdeen for 40yrs gave a beautifull , unrestored and running 1918 dodge phaeton car to a museum and they sold it within a year, boy, is he still pissed. his family were the like 3rd dodge dealer in  the usa. balthaser motors, virginsville pa and the car was bought new, one owner. no kiddin, they sold it.

OV-1D

Autofull that guy should get a ambulance chaser to sue those s.o.b.'s . That's just plain wrong .
By the way I'm with Rogue for any hand-downs . ;)

yup, very true story. i felt his pain on that one. his grand pop bought it new and it was always in the showroom. the seats looked like victorian furniture. acetylene headlights. man, it was so cool. his family and mine were forever friends so i had rides in this great huge automobile. sigh, well, get museum status awhile and maybe you too can prosper.  kevin/

RogueTS1

Well if things work out in the next little bit of time We may qualify as something akin to that. The Family War Room may take visitors and tours etc. I will let you know as things progress. Thank you. ;)

Just received this. Chiappa 12" bbl. Buntline 1873 Replica Single Action. Got it just for kicks for $200.00. Seems very quality. Smooth action, timing seems good and finish is excellent for an inexpensive revolver. Very pleased. Unfortunately, haven't shot it yet but will soon.

You would think with a 12" bbl. it would be very forward heavy but it's not. Points nicely. Adjustable sights are nice.

A couple of folks on some other forums told me they are junk and I was crazy for buying it but they didn't even own one! We'll see.

Dude, I need one of those! I didn't even know Chiappa made those. I have a 12-inch Colt Frontier buntline that's a dream to shoot. Not front-heavy either. Awesome little gun. I see that Heritage also has one that I'll probably get.

I also have a Taurus 981 12-inch .22-Magnum buntline--and that thing is seriously forward-heavy! Still fun to shoot, tho.

Autofull,
A Winchester BAR has got to be off the charts as far as value goes now.  I know that (many) years ago they were going for $5,000.

Seeing those STEN guns reminded me that back during WW2,the Brits were making them I think it was for less than $10. apiece.  I could be wrong on that though.

nope, yer correct, final price was 10 bucks. that is what history has to say. no one wanted this bar back in the late 70,s as we all knew we would not fire it. that is how i recieved it. i had a nesa bar for shooting fun but that has been sold. i am selling about three toys a week now so it shall soon be over. i have a nibble on the bar from my local museum and they are known for keeping everything. if someone deactivated this one i would become very irrated over it. this thing is just gorgeous. but then i like stens. so much for taste huh.  kevin.

I think I posted this in another thread, but here's my Wrangler my wife bought for me, before and after I added Single-Six grips to it:

I couldn't turn down the deal on this used (looks new!) Kel-Tec PLR-16 in 5.56 for $300 at my local gun store in Salt Lake City yesterday. I've been wanting one of these for years. It's not a standard AR-15, but it takes standard AR-15 magazines.

Will it take the AR 100 round drum?
I always have wanted one.

Haven't shot the bew Heritage Buntline yet, but I took some pictures today of my "Three Red Ruger .22s" set. These aren't new, as I've been working on this set for a couple years now, but I finally got out with a camera today and a few red and black accessories.

Here's what they are: a Ruger Charger-10/22 SBR (with tax stamp), Ruger SR22P, and Ruger Mk-IV. All red parts are anodized aluminum or Cerakoted metal or plastic, with the exception of the MK-IV grips--but I'm looking for a suitable anodized set of those. All 3 feature the same anodized-tube red-dot scope.

You certainly dabble with the strange and different Darvell , they look great though , fine picture  . :)
