Just received this. Chiappa 12" bbl. Buntline 1873 Replica Single Action. Got it just for kicks for $200.00. Seems very quality. Smooth action, timing seems good and finish is excellent for an inexpensive revolver. Very pleased. Unfortunately, haven't shot it yet but will soon.

You would think with a 12" bbl. it would be very forward heavy but it's not. Points nicely. Adjustable sights are nice.

A couple of folks on some other forums told me they are junk and I was crazy for buying it but they didn't even own one! We'll see.

Quite a barrel on that gebe. Maybe Rick would consider making a pocket holster for ya  ;)
Once you get a few rounds thru her let us know what you think.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Rick's a master holster maker and it should be EASY for him to make a front pocket or back pocket holster for this.

Uncle_Lee

gebe, I love it............
A lot of Italian (I think yours is) are very good quality.
It should have the maker's logo somewhere on it.
Please post some pictures of the markings.

Really nice Gebe.  Is it .45 LC?  I once had a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 10" bbl.  That extra barrel length made it much easier to shoot accurately.  My Dad used to say he wasn't surprised because by the time the bullet left the barrel; it was halfway to the target.  Good luck and let us know how it shoots.

It has to be a breeze to shoot l.r. and all , gotta be very accurate once one learns how to target it in , very fine looking piece I might add ..

Oh, I see.  .22 LR on the barrel.  Still nice.

I installed an SRT in my new Sig P227.  I took both my P226 mk25 (9mm) & P227 (45 ACP) out on my range to compare.  Both have the SRT installed.  Both are DA/SA.  Man, do I love a short reset: no creep, no stack-up.  The P227 has just a slightly wider grip for the double stack, but not that anyone not paying attention would notice.  I also removed the factory scales from my P226 and installed the E2 grips.  Yes, the P227 does have a bit more felt recoil, but not much.  Just happened to have my Sidewinder in my pocket (sure, just "happened") so I had to put a few 22 mag down range, too.

Thanks guys. I'm really loving this finish and I'm also happy with the grip choice as well. No flash (sometimes less is more) I haven't shot it yet but I'll get up to the range next week I hope. If NAA ever comes out with a Pug like this I won't be able to get my money out fast enough  ::)

autofull

yup, a black pug. i must have one also.

autofull

well, here he is but he took off his shoulder holster.

autofull

#55
oh, here are busters daily carry toys. the pug is one of three and is a first month of production baby from the day. the lr is way older than that. it has a steel 90 degree shotgun bead and modded cvangs. shortened tube and other stuff. i repair and mod class 3 stuff from around the country so i cannot leave my toys alone. i had some 35yr old registered sten tubes in the safe and gotta go test fire the newborns. i do not normally post pics of exotics .

autofull

im tryin to put up pics.

autofull

ok, here is an old toy. maxim o8/15. yup, its live. my very first belt fed i bought in 1978. 450 bucks. yeah.

For a minute I thought that was a rabbit's foot on the keychain.

What is the purpose of the large nut on the grip?

autofull

im sorry, i added a really short lanyard to it. maybe an inch long. what it does is, when ya grip her it adds length without bulk. really works well.

autofull

lanyard.

autofull

bad pic but, you will get it and it works without bulk.

barrytheprof

Good thinkin! I still think there would be some irony if it were a rabbit's foot. If I were the rabbit I'd be worried.

The nut I was asking about was the one on the upper part of the cvang grip. Does it come like that?

autofull

nope, that is a thumb stud from a folding knife. i use it as a thumb rest. works well. i enjoy ideas outside of the box.

OV-1D

Autofull you are ready no doubt but you must have a garage full of ammo to supply those belt feed semi autos . About 50 ammo cans will keep you safe for awhile . Fine looking material for sure . ;)

thank you. i have been selling off the c3 stuff. i had 75 mg,s in january and i have sold 55 of them. i love belt feds but i have kept things like all the mp5 variations as i only paid about 800 bucks per registered reciever gun in 84. i love the browning nave 1919 in 308. vietnam era weapon. i also kept a bunch of factory colt m16 variants. i have been doin this along time. i had to sell my four cold 1921 thompsons in the divorce back in the day and i had every drum and case plus parts galore. they would be worth about a quarter million now but, i had about six thousand in them. i still have print pictures yet. i sold a colt 30-40 gatling gun last year. that one was fun. ammo, i have al ittle bit of that put away, on skids. i am a gittin older and i sure am glad guns were cheap in my days. wow, i could never do this now. i sold my last high standard 50 awhile back, it cost me 1,200 with everything and sold for, well, 23 times that. crazy huh, but i just love mouse guns, really, i do, mouse guns forever guys.  kevin in pa.

smokeless joe

autofull it looks like you've got things covered from big to small and everything in between.

autofull

i guess i do joe but i have always allowed my friends to shoot my toys when we go out. ammo costs were different in the day.  9mm from the mid east cost 40 bucks fer 1006 rounds. weird number but it was for the version of the sweden k sub gun, the port said. then came all the 8mm from south america. no one wanted the m2 carbine cause we gave all the ammo away to nato countries.  sorry, history lesson. but, i love mouse guns. kevin.
