Mini Master Rifling Question

Is the Mini Master rifled like other NAA revolvers with light rifling marks? Or do the Mini Masters have the more traditional rifling, with defined lands and grooves? A pic would be great of the bore end if possible.
Thanks, Howdy

I can only speak for mine and  my BW is definiterly not close to smooth bore. Definitely rifled.

I carry a Black Widow and the wife carries a Wasp.  Both of which have distinct rifling.  Sure a goodly distance from smooth bore.
I have never owned or used a Mini Master, but would suspect that the rifling would be much the same as in what I now have.  I have been thinking about a Mini Master.  If I could only quit buying other silly guns instead.
A gun is like a parachute; if you need it and don't have it, you probably won't need it again.

Howdy,
The rifling is definitely there. It may be subtle but it does the job.

As TG says, same for my B/W, Ranger II,  and Pug.  Not what it is on my Smiths, but they are larger calibers.  I would think all NAA's are pretty much the same.

Several years ago I returned a brand new .22 short that had absolutely no sign of any rifling. After quite a delay the dealer offered me a .22 LR replacement & I agreed. The bullets from the short tumbled at almost point blank range.

No pic of the rifling but my MiniMasters definitely are rifled.

Howdy - I do not have a Mini Master so I cannot say anything about it from personal experience. However, I do have a half dozen varieties of Minis. Each and every one of them has rifling. Whether it is defined enough to be satisfactory is a personal decision. Below are a few photos. Top photo is looking down the bore of a Pug. Second is looking down the bore of a Sidewinder. Third is a Gold Dot out of a Pug. Fourth is a Gold Dot out of a Black Widow. Fifth is a gold Dot out of a Sidewinder. Note that all the expended bullets have defined rifling marks.

Those pics are perfect, that's definitely the more traditional rifling.  Thanks.

That is very plain. Good pics.
Answers my question on rifling.

Great camera shots Dinadan and that rifling looks plenty on that one .

Super photos Dan, nice work, very enlightening.

Good job on the photos Dinadan.  All 4 of mine look about the same as yours.

Thanks for the kind words about my photos, fellows.

Over the years on this forum I have read posts from one or two folks who said that they had a Mini with very light or no rifling. That has not been my experience, fortunately.

I used to own a 22LR mini revolver with the short barrel and I remember the rifling was slight.
I suspect they did this intentionally in order to minimize resistance to bullet travel.

I found that lower velocity bullets would keyhole, however, when shooting the hyper velocity lightweight projectiles, the bullet was stabilized.
