This one has been fired, and has a dent where the laser was mounted. It is a little cheaper:

This one is unfired:

Personally, I think they both have been smoking those funny little "home made" cigarettes that folks share. I sorta hope they get their money, as I have one, and it would make me happy for it to be "worth" that much.

You're right, Joe.  With no reserve and a starting bid of $3,520 ... and no pictures ... I'm sure someone will scoop that right up ...  <sigh>
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

Yeah I overlooked the second link. That's insane.

HEY ! Maybe he needs the money to finish putting grandma thru college or he's a meth head in need of more fixes . There are some strange folks out there wanting to pay much higher prices for things (I believe its some type of ego thing from what the books say) ,REALLY . To each their own .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

On that note, my money, what there is of it, it staying put.

My very modest collection of special firearms got sold at a profit almost 30 years ago, after I finally met the woman of my dreams and wanted the money to help pay off our house. Since then, our budget has not had room for collectibles.  I'll pass, thanks.

My budget has never had room for collectable guns, just ones to use.  ::)

so how does no reserve work with a starting bid of what ever

theysayimnotme

No HIDDEN reserve. I have no problem with a minimum starting price but I am not going to bid against myself just to find their starting price.

I won't bid on a reserve auction either.

Hidden reserve usually means they think the "starting price" is too high...

With no reserve, the starting price is the least he will take for it. So, technically, his starting price is his reserve price.

But you can see what it is and you don't have to "fish" for it.

I have bid on "reserve" auctions before--but I didn't like it.  You keep waiting for that "Reserve Met" message to pop up ... until you finally give up--or someone swoops in to "buy it now" ...  Frustrating as heck.

But one thing I'll never do, is bid on a "no reserve" $3,520 opening bid auction with no pictures!  At that price, I'm guessing it's made of solid gold, and is personally inscribed by Billy the Kid!  But again, we'll never know ... no pictures.   ::)

A "reserve" is typically the minimum a seller wants for his item. The item will not sell until the reserve is met. If you are willing to pay $10 for an item, then bid $10. If the reserve is $8, then your bid will show $8. Others who may want to bid will not know your max bid, and to win the item will have to keep bidding until they reach their personal max for that item, or until they bid higher than $10. The seller is always hoping to get 2 or more people who really want his item, and both are determined to buy it. With a reserve, you never have anything to loose by bidding.

I have been told by numerous people who sell a lot on gunbroker, the best tactic is start an item at $0.01. It will generate a number of bidders who are interested, and, they all claim to never have sold their gun for less than fair market value, and sometimes, more than they had hoped for.
