My first handgun was a 4 Aces derringer. I still have it. Barrels are now nickel plated and the frame is engraved and gold plated. Grips are ebony.
I have had several Little Ace guns, but have never seen the Pocket Pony revolver.

Wow OV-1D,

I'm really impressed with your home-made petrified wood grips. They look fantastic.

Am I correct in thinking that stuff is actually a form of rock?  If so, how do you cut and shape it?  I'm guessing lapidary saws and lots of elbow grease.

 Added a few more pics Cary and yes that ROCK is as hard as cut nails , used diamond tipped Dremel tools and buffed the devil out of it using jewelers rouge (buffing wheel of course) and anything else to smooth it . Made some unusual antler leaving part of the crown for extra grip . I've made a bunch of grips using all sorts of product .
