Dang me, gents,

I'm ready for some fried squirrel, too, along with mashed potatoes and squirrel gravy.  My mom, I believe, cooked the best squirrel-and-gravy known to man. 

And, she was a pretty fair hand with a skillet-full of cottontail rabbit.

that was first time to shot bw at game good year again with ringneck iwas using 20 gauge this year broke my hand 6 weeks ago it did not like recoil of 12 shot 4 shots 3 birds took a young man  about 26 first time hunting ringnecks  shot 18 shells got 2 birds it took 3 shots for squirrel hit him 1st shot in ass missed 2nd time than hear shot

My choice for the squirrel woods is an old Savage/Stevens  22lr/410 Model 24  O/U.

However,my Black Widow is in my hunting vest. Same goes when I am fly fishing,it goes in my fly fishing vest.

I thought that the plague was spread by flea bites.   Didn't read story, but picture along with story of plague in China were of fleas.

Sure, OV1D, but you can also die from botulism due to poorly cooked vegetables.

Or, from tetanus due to a thorn puncture.

Or, from a skin infection contracted by hugging a poison ivy-cloaked tree.

So, I'll continue to dine on delicious cottontails and pray for the best.

  Sorry to say but cleaning those birds , any bird , is a royal pain in the rear end . Give me a range fed chicken that comes already undressed any day . Beautiful looking birds though .

I had been thinking of setting up a game camera in a camouflage hunting blind outside of the local Popeye's so that I could tell when the line of cars in the drive-thru was under an hour or more long so I could trap one of their new Chicken sandwiches, as I had never tried one yet. I was driving by yesterday at 11 am when I thought I was hallucinating, as there were only about 8 or 10 cars in line. I pulled in behind them but after about 10 minutes, the line had not moved, so I pulled over into a parking place, got out of my car, and went inside. I could not believe my eyes again. There was NO LINE AHEAD OF ME TO ORDER! After I regained my composure, I went up to the counter, ordered one, and had one in my hands in about 10 seconds! Now I know what all the fuss is about! IT WAS THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD! I had finally bagged one, with no shots fired! AWESOME!
