HAS ANYBODY EVER REMOVED THE SIGHTS COMPLETELY FROM A PUG?

I'M CURIOUS ABOUT TAKING OFF THE SIGHTS OF MY PUG COMPLETELY AND MILLING THE TOP SMOOTH TO GET RID OF THE DOVETAILS. I HAVE A SEECAMP AND THEY ARE COMPLETELY VOID OF SIGHTS ALL TOGETHER. STRICTLY A POINT AND SHOOT GUN AND I REALLY LIKE IT. I WAS THINKING OF DOING THE SAME WITH THE PUG. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS OR KNOW IF MILLING THE TOP SMOOTH WOULD BE TOO DANGEROUS?

I don't see the point in doing this, one of the main strengths of the PUG is it is a compact self defense revolver with usable self defense sights 8)

NAA will "dehorn" and remove the sights from any of their Guardian pistols, I'm pretty sure if you really wanted to, you could send in a PUG or other Mini revolver and have the sights and sharp edges removed and not have to worry about messing the gun up or voiding the warranty because NAA is doing the work.

I have often considered having this done to my .22 LR Mini, to take all the sharp edges off and have the front sight removed.

Will they remove the front sight at the factory? I have been wanting to remove mine since the first time I shot the gun.

I shot my first mini till the site fell off. Just saying.

AL-DIABLO-
WELCOME TO THE FORUM  FORUM!

Not meaning to short circuit your desires, but, if you plan on using it at point and shoot ranges, the sights, either present or missing, will be of no consequence. Like you, I carry my minis as a last ditch, "excuse me while I get my gun from the truck" gun. Sights will likely not be a factor if I am in a position to have to use my mini. On the other hand, in the unlikely event any distance is involved, or if multiple threats are present, the sights on the Pug would be my personal first choice, with a huge preference going to the Tritium version.

But, your question had to do with removing them. If memory serves, they are dovetailed in, so their removal will not be difficult. As to milling the top smooth, contact a local, reputable gunsmith, have him examine it closely and heed his advice. You can also contact Jessica at NAA, and she will put you in touch with the person there who can answer your question(s) with absolute authority. You will also be able to learn if they will provide that service and the cost.

I also have a Seecamp, and continue to be amazed at how accurate they are w/o any form of sights.

I too use my NAA Guardian for up close and personal self defense, had the factory Carry Package(sights removed among other modifications) carried for 12 years, now carry a Seecamp LWS.380 with no sights, no problem hitting critical mass out 7 yards (furthest for my State CCW qualifying) and quickly, I sure this would hold true for any NAA firearms.  IMHO

I got in contact with customer service about my mini revolver sight removal. I was told that the sight is pinned so I could remove it myself. This would of course leave a hole in the top of the barrel. I could also send it to the factory for a barrel replacement.
