Fair enough critique. I didn't mean to imply that weight equaled quality. Just that what I consider better quality material (stainless) has a negative of more weight. I know that Kel-Tec has an aluminum interior frame, sub frame, whatever it's called. But the grip frame, what you see, is plastic. What pins there are, are plastic. I've understood the trigger pivot pin is plastic, but maybe that's not correct. So far as Guardian extractors flying out, only one member has reported that problem. At any rate, I would prefer a pinned extractor, but Guardians use the same design as a PP or PPK, and that has worked well for Walther since 1929.

The Kel-Tec is a good functioning, lighter gun. My feeling is that given equal treatment and rounds fired, the Kel-Tec will not be as durable or dependable over time. It's just my choice that except for grip panels and rifle stocks I don't care for plastic in guns.

QuoteMy personal favorite small semi auto is a Baby Browning

Very nice. The BB is for sure a very fine small automatic. (Especially when outfitted with a can.)  8)
