December Soapbox?

Are the involved parties still holding a grudge? Will there ever be another Soapbox?

Remember folks, Sandy is the guy that put NAA on firm footing and defined its long term plan. Do you like your minis? They might not exist without Sandy. NAA is focused on the 2A for its very existance. Doesn't the 1A count for anything? True, sometimes people don't use the best choice of words, or the best civil attitude in expressing their opinion, but that doesn't diminish the right to say it. We're all guilty of regretting something we said, or how we said it, the day after we said it.

There's more than enough negative everywhere you look. Let's end this year on a positive note for everyone here.

we lost at least one long time poster. i break bread everyday with people i dont agree with 100% of the time. who agrees with anyone 100% of the time? we all go over the top at one time or another. some more than others.

I've said things that I regretted later. Sandy apologized. I accept that. People have forgiven me. I should be able to do the same.

I, too, hope that Sandy returns to doing the soapbox. While there were things he said I do not agree with, that is okay. I was surprised at the way he said them. I was not surprised when he apologized for the way he phrased his thoughts. Which reinforced the character I gave him credit for having. I would sit down and have lunch with him tomorrow, and enjoy the conversation and his company.

Geez, aren't you nice. Sandy apologized. Accepting that is another "traditional value" as you say. It's one of the things that keeps society less judgmental. We could use more of that these days.Too many find it too hard to be civil toward others.

Being someone that shoots from the hip when speaking, and with little or no filter between my brain and mouth ( or key board for that fact) Sandy is going to have to work a hole lot harder to get under my skin.  Oh by the way isn't that what speaking from a soap box is all about?  Stating your opinion and *** the torpedoes full steam ahead.  I might not agree with what your saying but I'll fight for your right to say it, as long as you return the favor.

Go to the NAA home page. Click menu and scroll down to the soapbox.

Look across the top and click "Sandy's Soapbox". It contains the latest soapbox message, currently October.  There's a drop down menu for older messages.

The Soapbox is an irregular monthly message from Sandy Chisholm, NAA's head honcho. It could be about anything from new NAA guns, to politics hurting the 2A. Whatever's on his mind as being important. Sometimes there is a "guest host", another NAA person.

There was a difference of opinion about The Vaccines (Sept. Soapbox), between Sandy and some members. It got a little heated on the forum, and Sandy apologized for his part of it (Oct. Soapbox). Most involved members did, too. But ever since, the situation has been a little frosty.

I was hoping it would thaw out before the year was over.

That sounds a bunch like "woke" thoughts and actions.

Sandy is more (to us) than just the head of North American Arms, he is part of the North American Arms family.
He has always looked at us as part of that family. He discusses about the thoughts of future arms and takes some of the thoughts and runs with them. When a new model is coming out, we get first chance at buying one (or a pair).
Yes, I lost it over the vaccine Soapbox and was/am very sorry I did. But I did and the harm was done. All I could do was to apologize and move on.

To say that you apologize for nothing says that you never do or say anything wrong.
